I don't know if fans trully does provide the players with energy, but if they do, the Spurs will need it. Houston and GSW requires intensity.

Both teams can go on a 11-0 run in 2 minutes. Usually the front lower seats are empty till the 9th minute mark of the 1st and 3rd quarters.

Teams can easily go on a run in that span.

sounds like the food is too cheap, they should raise prices. they'll make more money, and the fans will be thinner and back in their seats in time
Which will lead to thinner seats, which means more seats, more money, bigger crowd. HoltCat why your marketing people not onto this?

Yeah, the fans suck but at the same time, youre starting David Lee in a playoff game. Even a Whatachicken sandwich is more appealing than that bull .

is it that hard to not be a fat ass and either not stuff your face for 3 hours or get food before the game starts?? always amazes me how people are so concerned with eating overpriced during games

The fat asses are in the upper balcony of the arena. They start the chants and make ALL the noise. The lower bowl is full of corporate geeks or kicking rodeo board members. They're too good to cheer, come early and stay until the end of the game.

Years ago the Spurs decided (or were forced into) a financial model that basically targeted corporate ticket holders over average fans. We don't know all the financial ramifications of the extraordinary salaries these players get and the fixed costs, but apparently they determined they couldn't sell enough tickets to individuals while corporations could write the tickets off, give them to customers, etc. But you can bet that all those empty seats at games are probably the corporate seats which aren't given away and don't belong to fans. I wish we could get back to the days when there was a real live Spurs fanbase that could go to the Arena and enjoy the games.

If you want to see those seats filled, make them cheaper. Real Spurs fans will come and cheer all game without look at their phones. That's why the loudest sections are always the nosebleeds.

Add $20 to the price of every ticket and then when each person comes in with their ticket, give them $20 cash. If someone received a ticket for free they're more likely to show up to get the money. Plus people now have extra cash to spend at the concession stands!

Aside from the logistics of having to actually distribute the cash.
    It would be a nightmare.

Is that why the Seahawks never lose at home?

Hippie culture in Seattle = more healthy, less fast food etc

It's the only way it could work. It might still be hard for them to keep up with it though. I'd sure like to have a friend that was distributing them.
I suppose they could link the credit to each ticket's bar code. So you'd use your credits with your actual ticket. As opposed to someone handing them out.

When I was younger, nosebleeds we're ok. As an adult, I hate feeling like a sardine that is one wrong step from tumbling to my death. No thanks I'll watch at home.

A few years back, I was given nosebleeds and the section I was in won free taquitos from Whataburger. You wouldve thought they were giving away $100 dollar bills the way people were falling over each other and screaming at the people handing them out that they hadn't gotten theirs yet. Embarrassing
