I'm expecting an angry Spurs team. It's one thing to lose, but another to get spanked on your home court in the playoffs. They need to come with Dedmon anger. What's the over/under on him getting ejected for a flagrant tonight?
    Pop wont allow it

Hes probably already in the doghouse for hurting Nenes hand with his neck

How is this Rockets team better than the '13 Warriors?

I have the feeling, that it's a similar matchup and we will figure it out.

MVParker outscored Curry, Spurs had 5 players averaging double digit points for the series, and Danny Green could defend back then. Tbh imo

Exactly. Now we now how Heat fans felt in the 2014 Finals. You try to summon hope and put on a brave face, but deep down inside, you know it's over.
I hope whatever happens it's early so I can watch something else or just go to sleep earlier.

I don't think Pop will have noticeable adjustments, but Spurs will play better. Rockets all of a sudden are not scorching hot.
    It's a win.

LMA gonna be sooking and suffering the mental pressure, could be a disaster, will overthink everything too.
Lamarcus just needs to clear his mind and be his true self. We've seen what he can do, he knows what he can do. Just go out there and do it.

Memorial Day Massacre. I bled green when I was a kid. Celtics scored 79 in the first half. Wedman came in off the bench and shot 11/11. Man, the Celtics looked so good and were riding so high and the Lakers looked pathetic. The series didn't even go 7 games. I know it's a stretch to compare a finals to a 2nd round series, but I can't stop thinking about it. Maybe history will repeat itself.

If Ryan Andersons first 3 3pt shots are horrible but they still go in then I will promptly turn off my tv and call it a season

picked rockets to win the series, wouldn't surprise me if the spurs won tonight though.

this site's gonna get ugly if it's a result like game 1 (don't think it will be).

if spurs lose they win one in HOU and win game 5.

After the game 1 whipping and the day and a half of ST suggestions that Pop has read, I look forward to the wholesale changes he makes for game 2. On the edge of my chair.

I have been thinking about Lee lately bc I backpedaled on adjustments and I think it's too early for Pop to shake things up (going with radical changes in lineups, small ball, playing rookies, starting one of Bertans or KA... I can't see that this early in the series.. it's just not on Pop to make adjustments this radical even when they feel needed). He's going to give a chance to the veterans to fix their issues with the heaviest burden on LMA.. but maybe he gives Dedmon a second look (if he didn't get in the doghouse for game 1 ejection) bc: David Lee-LaMarcus Aldridge frontcourt that would play a total of 17 minutes together (far more than any other big-man duo) and put up a -59.4 net rating.

Im expecting them to force feed Aldridge early resulting in another horrible start. Hopefully they can get back into it this game and they go away from that BS for the rest of the playoffs. Let him man up and dominate the offensive glass of if he wants buckets.

This is what I'm afraid of as well. And then Aldridge will try to do much and his confidence will continue to decline.

I'm hoping Mills and Green play well, and Manu actually hits a layup. Need Pop to play Dedmon more and NO MORE Gasol/LMA together at the same time.

dantoni needs to insist to harden that his passing is what puts the spurs in the toughest place.

Danny needs to have a good defensive game.
Because Lamarcus played so poor it has gone under the radar how poorly Danny has been playing. He had 2 good games against Memphis, one specially LDN level on defense, but he has not been impactful defensively.
^ That sequence right there is not just on Lee but on Danny too.

Talented offensive players who can pass the ball are always the toughest to stop. You just can't stop everything they can do. The ones who can't pass the ball are like Aldridge: you can force them into a tough shot or make them TO
