imo both create a lot of space on the field and are great finishers (notice I don't waste time with dribbling/passing/skillz, this isn't fifa tbh).
FACTS:
Ronaldo creates space indirectly with his pristine positioning and runs, his off ball movement is absolutely exceptional. On the other hand messi does it with the ball at his feet and with his passes. Messi's game creates more space tbh, but the difference isn't that big.
Penaldo is significantly less skilled but just better against adversity imo. He gives zero s and does his thing, this is a huge asset in big games.
Messi is a weaker player in a game fragmented by many set piece plays (both offensively and defensively), these games tend to be the ones that are hard to win, like finals, semifinals, tough defenses, etc.
TLDR
If I want to destroy Getafe/Las Palmas or to carry a team I'm taking messi by a long shot
if I want to win a big game and already have a decent team I'm taking penaldo.
If we are talking about this season, kroos >>> rakitic (rakitic has only shown flashes of life the past couple weeks this season) modric >>> iniesta (worst season for iniesta by far)
Again, real Madrid have a much much better midfield, defense, and bench. This is at best the second worst Barca team of the decade. They have their work cut out for them this summer transfer window.

tbh you know when somebody really plays/ed organized 11v11 when they understand space. Ronaldo has amazing scoring stats but his key contribution to real madrid is his gravity which opens up the opponents defense, he just does it without the ball.

The truth is they are the two best players in the World (Messi is clearly the best and Ronaldo the second best), and both have had their good share of big matches perfomances and no shows over their careers, since they are so good that they have played a lot of these.
I know this forum is filled with Madrid fans and most of it is trolling, but I fear that you start believing the ignorant you say after repeating it so much, so I had to come and refresh you memory a bit.
