Yea.. his defensive issues are obvious. I wont knock it till i see it. Its all about the offensive side. He may not even play a long stretch, we'll see

Pau starting didn't work against scrubby teams to start the season so why the would it work now against a good team?

...I have a bad feeling that the Spurs get blown out tonight. That guy up there^ saying that closing out the game is more important forgets that if a team is getting blown out right out of the gates, it makes it that much harder to close the game out later. You're deflated, the winning team has confidence and momentum, and the crowd isn't in the game.

We NEED a good start and I just know Pau is not going to help that.

Pau starting opens up paint for Aldridge early. Obviously Aldridge having a good start offensively is extremely important tonight so in that regard I can see the point of this. Defensively though... Let's just hope the rockets don't come out hot again. Wouldn't get too caught up in it though, it's more important who closes then starts.

Thats the point. Lee s up spacing the way they are defending aldridge. Stretch out the defense and make them have to make compromising rotations. It just never happened last game.

Immediate help from the paint cant collapse on aldridge if pau is out on the perimeter. Aldridge was freezing up like a deer in headlights last game. This should in theory get him more relaxed on the block and able to go to the middle and not just get pigeon holed into horrible baseline fadeaways.
