Well I think it was more about the minutes rotation. But also because they keep switching so easily. Hardly any resistance from picks and he still lets Tony take the switch on Harden. I don't get that

Harden got going once he got those phantom 3 FTs. Finally saw the ball go in

Harden seems intimidated by Kawhi, tbh. I don't buy the "injured" crap that these stars all of a sudden get when they get shut down by Kawhi. er seemed healthy when he had a big or point guard switched on him

Amazing performance Kawhi had tonight on that end. Harden never had a chance to draw a foul....

Harden hasn't looked right imo. His hurt wrist may be the only explanation, but he looked like he had little interest in getting in the paint tonight tbh. I don't expect Anderson & Capella to keep playing well on offense. Lou Williams could get it going though, and Gordon will get his. Houston is going to have a hard time beating us if Harden's not putting up around 30 a game, unless his teammates are shooting lights out like game one.

That's some insane efficiency. It's becoming a norm to expect that kind of output but goddamn. Kawhi seemed to be around the ball or at least making a play on that end/rebounding, etc.

Exactly. It was a masterful defense performance. Harden is a big pg 6 '5" and solidly built. He can usually bully guards on him, but Kawhi is too quick.

Fatigue aside, Kawhi has him rattled and little indecisive without falling for his BS moves. I think Pop should stick with it.

Harden is shooting an overall 38% (FG) and 25% from (3PT) in the playoffs ..

How do people who claim to be Spurs fans 1. Not know Murray was injured this year & 2. Not understand that Pop always "buys rest"?

When SA has big leads he looks to get his main guys rest so they can finish strong. Expecting otherwise is just silly. Does he overplay that move sometimes? Sure. But it has been effective more often than not.

If Harden gets all those bs shootings touch fouls in Houston, he'll be ok.

But if he doesn't get one or two of those, he gets rattled.
