OrangeBloods has some new info on grad transfer QB Malik Zaire.
According to his camp, Zaire now wants to have a decision made by May 19th, but that's at least a week earlier than the timeline in which he would find out if he's eligible to transfer to Florida.
If the above is true, that would leave Texas and Wisconsin as his finalists.
Harvard doesn't seem to be a threat at all because he wants to play "big time" college football and he'd need financial assistance to go there.
Where it gets more interesting is Big 12 coaches will have meetings in Phoenix next week, and Zaire is currently training in Scottsdale.
A guy we haven't talked about in a long time is DT Calvin Avery of Dallas Bishop Dunne.
While he seems to be a longshot, OrangeBloods is saying he has picked up his communication with the staff a lot lately.

not sure why he chose seguin either, but i can say he likely left because he was not going to be a starter with steele (the steele secondary is stacked with DI players) and would have had to taken reps on offense at times in order to be on the field more often. he will clearly get a chance to show off his athleticism playing for seguin.
