Westbrook will win MVP this season bc voters get a triple double hard on.

    Kawhi's last 2 games: 34/7/8 & 26/10/7

These are the closest he's come to a triple double in b2b games. Kinda like how he scored 30 in b2b games earlier this season for the first time. Now he does it regularly. He's figuring it out...
No Parker for at least half the season means a more ball-dominant Kawhi. He's gonna have several triple doubles next season. I'm calling it, he's gonna be voted MVP next season.

From "hopefully he's the next Bowen" to "he's the MVP"

I said he was going to get his LeBron on after HOTS' injury. Didnt even look like his dominant self yet still finished with 26/10/7. Just ridiculous.

With Parker potentially out for first few months of season, Kawhi is going to be the Point forward..We could see the biggest year-to-year jump in his assist numbers..

He's become Duncan-like when you would think he's had a passable game only to look at box-score and see a routine 25/12/3 ..

Gonna be a treat to watch. Even with the Spurs still having no shot to win a le barring injuries to GS, next year the Spurs will be a much-watch team.

He'll need to carry a decrepit spurs team to the 2nd seed for the MVP. He won't have better numbers than Harden or Westbrook. He has all the momentum though for the voters to overlook that if he has great stats and the 2nd seed.

The novelty of Westbrook's triple doubles will have worn off by next year, tbh..if Harden's out in the 2nd round, he won't have a shot, either IMO(the narratives from the previous season and off-season generally carry over)..

Although they weren't against great teams, i believe spurs were 7-1 without kawhi.

I think MVP goes to LeBron/Kawhi, but with the way the league glorifies useless stat padding, i dont see it happening when they can claim pop would win either way. Pop hurts his case, which is crazy cuz Phil never had that impact tbh. Pop is on another level whether you like him or not.

On 50/40/90 shooting and only 1 TO per game. That's what makes him special, tbh. Besides his defense, of course.

He's not playing well enough already for you? His year to year improvement has already been unprecedented, I'll be extatic if he just keeps playing this well for 6-8 more years

Depends. Spurs will have some salary space, and some important roles to fill. If RC do a good job, Kawhi`s minutes will be limited in termes of putting numbers.

It's obvious the people doing the voting don't understand how crazy-good that is, or else they just don't give a .

I wonder what would happen if a guy took ALL of the team's shots, averaged 50 PPG, and the team lost every game? They'd talk about his "historic achievement."

In parts of the 4th quarter they were running Kawhi-Green-Simmons-Gasol-Aldridge. KL is good enough a ball handler and emerging facilitator that it worked well.
