Manu, go all out. Dont worry about injuries or getting ejected for a flagrant 2. You go out there and die on the court if need be. Take one for the team if need be. But go and do something positive for a change.

    Sincerely,
    Spurs fan
Yeah, time to leave with some dignity before El Trumpo builds the wall. TBH.
he's usually pretty good in game fives...game sixes though...

Well you know he's going to play as if it's his last day on earth. That's who he is.

Hopefully he has one more good game in him.

Advancing to the WCFs to get the honor of getting swept by that historic Worriers team would be a great way to go.

Its basically like Singapore or Bhuthan getting the honor of being on the same field as Brazil or Germany in soccer. A lifetime achievemnt.

I personally don't think Manu retires. He could obviously, but I honestly think he likes making money and playing (and I'm not saying that negatively). I think he cares about money still and if he's not injured (which he isn't, he's just declined) then I think he sticks around for some more money.

I think this because of this last contract, his comments about him just enjoying the ride and not getting too emotional anymore (again not knocking him) and his comments about the being tired but fully healthy still.

His last home game of his career could be game 5 tomorrow. And last game ever game 6.

This is an open letter to Manu to implore him to go all out his last few games and try to extend his career at least a few more days.

Manu, go all out. Dont worry about injuries or getting ejected for a flagrant 2. You go out there and die on the court if need be. Take one for the team if need be. But go and do something positive for a change.

    Sincerely,
    Spurs fan

Lets use this thread to send thanks and positive thoughts to a guy who has been in our team for a loooong time.

If he doesnt show up again, it will be his last game at ATT center in game 5.

    Dont let it happen Manu
    Damn, you are a hater!

I mean - yeah. Many people like to work and make money and if SA is willing to pay him, why would he leave?

Agreed. RC could surely use that $14M to improve your roster. To even fathom him essentially taking up a roster spot for nostalgia's sake should be maddening to Spur Fans. Name on the front first, not the back.

He won't make 14M again. That's not what will happen. He will likely keep playing though, but it will be for less money. Even 3M is a lot of money for anyone and I think Manu wants to make as much as he can.

It's ironic that certain player fans who have always wished season-ending injuries are getting their wish granted, except the object of their hate isn't the player suffering the injury. Karma can be a real .

Did you cry when you typed this?

The only injuries that were granted here were the wishes of illegal player fans. HOTS will still go down as the third best Spur of all time behind Tim and Robinson tbh

Wouldn't take Manu back for the minimum. He's holding the youth back with his mandatory minutes to appeal to the churro eating Salvadoreans in the crowd. He's done-so.

Not even in a Matt Bonner 80% of the season on street clothes coaching the kids?

We all know that wouldn't happen lol, too much ego tbh. We can pay someone younger to go scoreless 4 out of every 5 games

I would not mind Manu on the bench as a benchwarmer T Mac style but we know stupid Pop is gonna insert him as soon as fatty Mills gets torched by scrubs. The old bas cannot help himself

So no. If Manu has to come back he shoukd do so as a gatorade/massage guy and replace Becky Jamon's job. She obviously sucks at it

At least Duncan was still the top rated defender in the NBA when he went out
All 3 of the above need to go

For nostalgia's sake, I wish he had retired after last season. This season hasn't been a good one to remember him by. But there's not a single person here who would turn down $14M for one season of looking old. Why should he be any different?

I really think the Spurs will tell him it's time to hang 'em up, and I would hope he wouldn't go play for someone else. After this season, I don't see how he gets more than the vet min, here or anywhere else. (If another team really did offer him more than the Spurs for this season, they ought to be thankful that he decided to take the Spurs' offer.) Since the last roster spot is usually a throw-away anyway, if the Spurs paid him the min to be a mentor and get some fill-in minutes, I wouldn't about it. He probably brings more value here, just because of the fans, and because he can be more of a mentor for young guys inside this system. I think it's already too late for him to retire before the wheels come off, so why not hang on for that?

Cry? On the contrary, it's hilarious to see certain player fans declaring the postseason to be over once their hero went down. That separates the player fans from true fans of the team who still cheer for the remaining players to pull through.

By the way, the third best Spur of all time is still carrying the team on BOTH ends of the court.

What are you babbling about? Of course season is over for a team whose 2nd best playoff performer is out.

If kyrie goes down for the cavs of course their season is over. Its not being a player fan its common sense
