Even if it means the season ends in two games.

Wish this arrogant asshole would hang it up so he can focus on how many planets out there might have intelligent life if he's going to be this dense.

He's too stubborn to make it in this league anymore. Used to be able to get away with it thanks to Timmy bailing him out.

He's not even willing to prove a two bigs lineup works since he has given up on Dedmon. The Spurs D takes a huge a hit whenever Lee enters the game. That's all on Pop.

Rockets have started defending Kawhi by packing the lane with four guys, daring us to beat them outside.

So what does Pop do to adjust? Puts in two bigs

He's too stuck on his stupid ass rotation / minute spreadsheet to even look at the personnel they have out there on the other side.

Sorry guys, but we aren't winning a le this year with a small ball line up, Houston and GS are better small ball teams. The hope was that our bigs would dominate small ball, but that hasn't happened. Still, there's really no choice. The best chance they have to win is to hope they hit pay dirt with their bigs eventually.

Yes, our answer to other teams going small is to go big tbh. Punish them on the boards.

Going small because the other team is going small is defeatist reactionary coward ball tbh. Dictate to them, don't let them dictate to us tbh.

    Perhaps.
But benching Dedman is not the answer.

And altho we will never know, I'll bet we could outrun and outgun Houston with
    Kwa
    Dedman
    Murray
    Bertie
    Gnob
    Patty
    Lee
    Pau

I am all in on the Pop bashing, I love to participate. But oddly enough, a series against GS is the one series I would actually trust pops coaching. We aren't beating GS going small. The only chance we have is going big and pound, slow down the game, etc. He knows this. I think he tried to build this team to beat GS, and is just trying to get through these series for a shot at them. Will lamarcus hold up his end of the bargain? That's a whole different issue.

Ok so, benching Dedmon is part of the Go Big plan?
Really working out well. Love this 33% LMA.

I don't even know that Popped gets us past Houston at this point.

i'm guessing dedmon is glued to the bench because he is a fouling machine and Houston lives off drawing fouls

Gasol and LMA playing together actually make more sense against GSW than Houston.

I would've went away from playing them together but Gasol did have an excellent game 2 and 3 defensively, his rim protection was fantastic.

Pop needs to retire Lee from the rotation against Houston and go with Anderson, I think its to late to go with Bertans at this point. Anderson was pretty good in Game 5; had four assists in 7 minutes (it was actually 3 but Kawhi blew a open dunk)

I don't know what happened with Dedmon, but it's obvious Pop trimmed the big rotation and his hand was forced into playing small so there are less minutes to distribute for bigs.
He could legitimately take Lee's small share of minutes, who Pop is now tending to use as the sole "center" in a small ball lineup but I think Pop simply doesn't want to bench Lee altogether and Dedmon's tendency for mistakes and the two technicals and ejection he got made it easy for Pop to bench him.

I dont disagree on given dedmon getting some run, especially when Aldridge is playing soft. It's frustrating as . Can't hurt to give him a few minutes. At least he shows heart.

It's like who died and anointed Aldridge as The Sacred Cow.
Comes over as a free agent acquisition who is supposed to be the missing additional PIECE.
but but but I can't take any of his minutes away when he is sucking.

Can't help but wonder what RC has to say in all of this.

I think they both know he sucks. I think they both know he has to go. But making it happen is not that easy with the cap situation. And, no matter how you slice it, if Aldridge isn't performing against GS, we ain't beating them. That's a scary thought, but it's the truth.

But if he's not performing, eventually you'll just have to pull the plug and go with guys that are showing heart, win or lose, but not this round. I think pop can't lose LMA this round by benching him because he knows he needs him the next round. As ridiculous as that sounds, and as much as I hate that you have to treat LMA with kid gloves, it's the reality of the situation right now. It's really just a big mess.

I'm all for this loser being gone ASAP. Hes too high maintenance, and lazy and not worth what he puts out in production.
