These 2 series have them prepared and playing their best basketball. If (a big one) they are able to sustain this level of play and Kawhichael plays at his MVP level, they might be able to pull an upset.

I think it's great Lamarcus stepped up and the Spurs are getting contributions from the younger players.
They were not going to win zilch with oldman basketball.
They may still lose this bc GSW is very talented... but I like them more now than against the Grizz and what I mean by that is the team is better now than they were when the playoffs started.

THIS game as well as the opener is how I expected them to play all year. -- The beautiful game with good to great shot selection and exploiting matchups. Why it never materialized is a question for the coaching staff. Kawhi is GREAT but there's no need in making the offense predictable by just going to him repeatedly. , he'll be even more dangerous if defenses aren't allowed to key on him so easily.
Loved this game. They moved the ball and...MADE SHOTS.
We watched the SL trying to play this way in the first minutes of games, where Kawhi was parking in the corner to get others going in the 1st quarter but guys couldn't hit an ocean. The same with the 2nd unit vs Grizz, they tried but shots weren't falling.
Against OKC last playoffs, the Spurs created good looks but missed many uncontested shots.
It's not just about taking the good shots, it's about making them. Tonight it was perfect
Always fun when your team hits its ceiling. But the Warriors are much better on defense and the Spurs will be lucky to hit shots at this rate more than twice in a series.
That's definitely an advantage next series. The Spurs faced teams that have challenged them offensively and defensively and they've found a way. Their going to need to put that together to beat the Warriors.
However the Warriors haven't faced as much compe ion.
ok you guys loved the ball movement, but how can we move the ball with kawhi and his double digit iq and mediocre passing?
g3 2014 1st half is the best half of basketball I`ve ever witness. Still have this game on my PC.
Right up there tbh. As good as Golden Fake are Spurs are a sneaky chance here. Spurs go into the series playing with house money from here on whilst Golden Fake coming off 3-1 meltdown. The pressure is on them not to flame out and be remembered for a 1 championship dynasty

I actually watch it about once a year (typically after the Spurs have been eliminated from the playoffs). Last night's game was one of the all-time greats though: 40-point beatdown on the road in an elimination game while missing their top 2 scorers and assist / rebound / steals leaders. Just insane.
Didn`t watch game, but heard that Rockets the bed was the factor of such outcome. g3 2014 was just sick from Spurs side, 70 pts in half, at road, in finals vs prime LeBron, Wade, Bosh. And this redemption factor on top of it.
I don`t expect any game to be better played by Spurs.
I'm not comparing the 2 games in terms of quality of basketball played. Clearly g3 2014 is one of the top games ever played regardless of teams involved, being the Finals, etc. It was a masterpiece.
Last night's beatdown of Houston is one of the top Spurs playoffs games as far as I'm concerned, given the cir stances. The Spurs advance to the WCF once again in a way that nobody could have predicted. And the way the Spurs played had a big hand in the win too, there's a reason why Houston players were deflated.
games 3 and 4 in Miami were much more impressive than the close out game 5 in 2014 IMO TBH

What made the Rocket's game unique is that every player was the best version of themselves - Simmons played under control, Murray looked like a player, Gasol was a rugged defender, LMA looked like Portland LMA.
The Spurs defense was very special from the very first minute. It was 100% effort.

It helped that the Rockets were pretty gassed. The Spurs had a long game going of beating on them a bit, Pringles was playing guys like Harden on LMA, and was playing a limited line-up. When the Spurs' bench came in playing well, that was the ballgame.
Don't you be coming along if the Spurs win starting threads about how no one else believed in them.
You have to remember Mike Brown is coaching now. Steve probably won't be around, in body. That favors us.
