The league shouldn't do anything about it, tbh..that's his job, he's a goon, that's why the Warriors signed him..

Personally, I've wanted Spurs' players to target injured opponents many times, and most posters here have done the same The problem I have with the coverage of Pachulia's play was that people are actually trying to deny that it was intentional or dirty, which is just asinine..

And of course, the fact that Warriors players can get away with murder without being punished..I dislike punishments to players, but there has to be consistency..

It's no different than dealing with bullies in grade school. Tellin the teachers won't get you anywhere. You have to let them know there is to pay if they pull that crap... But good luck with any spur doing that... The ones that are like that are stuck on the bench

    Did Stern address this?

The other guy clearly got into Bowen's path. If anything the other player should have been suspended for 3 games, at the very least

Bruce is no saint but if I'm playing devil's advocate I could say he only take one big step to contest on Tmac. This mother er Zaza took his big step and then an additional baby step, the first one cool you can sort of brush it off but the second one is too ing obvious man:

He starts off like a foot from the paint and ends up outside the 3PT line. That ing POS, man.

Also this notion that there's no possible way he would've known where Kawhi would land because he wasn't even "looking down" is bull imo. He's literally inches from Kawhi's body and right foot, any human being can get a feel for where the other foot will land when you are that close to someone.

The Spurs don't have any enforcer types. That's why guys like Zaza don't feel any issue doing something like that. Have an enforcer get in his face and he'll think twice next time.

They did have one but his name is Dedmon and Pop never plays him.

The league didn't have a rule against it then. They do now.

Lebron is loving this. He's hoping three or four Warriors get maimed, that Draymond picks up his threshold technical and gets suspended another Finals game, that Kerr become paraplegic, coming on the court like Stephen Hawking.

League should suspend Pop for complaining, a civil court should give him a fair trial... no parole.

The Spurs never tried to injure the Suns. The Warriors have the advantage and they still try to take out the best player.

I think Pop legit feels like we could be champions this year. He is visibly altered because of that.

If he didn'nt really believe in our chances, he wouldnt have been so emotional
That's exactly why I am so mad about it, and I am pretty sure Pop felt the same way, that's why he went off about it. We were starting to play well in the playoffs and we were getting better and better, Championship level better.

The league had a policy against moving screens. That went away under Silver.
The league had a policy against talking back to refs. Under Silver, they can scream and get in the refs' faces.
The league had a policy for what could be reviewed, and when. Under Silver they review what they want, when they want, and sometimes just make up.

Policy against under-cutting? What policy against under-cutting?

No, they didn't. His suspension was due to the ulative effect and rightfully so. That s bag deserved it sooner.

Yes, he did deserve it sooner. But they didn't call it until it involved LeBron, did they?

I just noticed something that made it look ore intentional - when Zaza had his eyes on the ball, the shot was already released and he saw this. He still decided to keep moving forward, despite the ball being released. At that point, he can either know that he altered Kawhi's shot or not, so undercutting was Zaza's objective.

Yep. I picked the Spurs against the Grizz and Rockettes as much out of loyalty as conviction that they would win. But after game 6 against Houston and up until Kawhi got injured against the Dubs, I started to really believe it was our year. I'm pretty sure that Pop thought we were going to pull off this championship.

Kawhi's injury has also made me reflect on all of the weird lineups Pop used throughout the season... Maybe Pop isn't as senile, unmotivated or drunk on wine as some ST posters thought.

Can you imagine the league wide uproar if this were Lebron/KD/Curry who got cheapshot out of the playoffs?

That an MVP candidate player gets taken out in Conference finals by dirty scrub player and the NBA doesn't even bother to look into it for potential disciplinary actions is truly astounding.

In other words, as long as Dubs-Cavs is still on; if Kawhi dies, he dies..
