Agreed on Bertans...
Bertans would have done a better job than Pau in those 3rd Q hard showings/closeouts to Curry when he went off. Just ing pure lazyness on Gasoft part. I was livid to just watch that naked sob sloth move around.

Spurs as a whole are a more dominant team than the warriors. They're better coached, they execute better, and they have higher basketball I.Q. collectively. With that being said without their top two playmakers it's virtually impossible to beat a team who shoots so well and can defend. I'm not saying they're out of the series but they won't win tonight which will put a lot of pressure on them to win both games at home. Instead of being disappointed though I'm gonna focus on how are young guys do tonight with the pressure of the WCF and look towards the future. Hope Bertans can get some serious minutes. GSG

I think your post is a little too positive, but the missing playmakers is THE problem moving forward in this series ... the Spurs could not get an easy shot in the second half of Gm1. The Warriors will not have that same intensity for 48minutes, but thats not even necessary. We are just too limited offensively now ...
They can win tonight. They just need some sort of perfect storm .
1) Stick to the plan. Move the ball.
2) Defensive composure. Harass that 3pt line.
3) We need Patty to start draining treys constantly.
4) Pau needs to wake the up and stop the ing laziness. Insert Bertans or Dedmon if he continues w/ this trend.
5) LMA needs to stay aggressive on those boards. This is his team for tonight.
6) Hot Simmons.
7) The refs.
The other guys are playing to their limits. DLee it is what it is. Fathead is playing some good spot minutes. Danny has been superb on D plus hitting the occasional three. Manu is a ing Legend for doing what he's doing at 39. He's leaving his soul on the court; he dunked again! DJ has been playing great for a rookie under all this pressure tbh.
I'm not giving up, we gotta do whatever it takes to win game 2.

I'm not giving up at all. Just trying to be realistic about game 2. But I've been wrong before. I thought they were losing game 6 to Houston and we all saw what happened. That's also why I said they're a better coached team, better I.Q., and they execute better. Do they have a chance tonight? Of course they do. Nothing is ever a forgone conclusion. I'll still be rooting for them to win and have a miracle game but I guess we each do what we have to do to get our minds right for what the more than likely outcome will be.
The warriors went on their run amd the spurs responded well. Everyone knows they can score in bunches but its what you do on your end of the ball that determines if you can beat them or not and the spurs were doing that. Yeah they got a few lucky shots but so did the warriors. In the end with kawhi out there i believe the spurs would've won by double digits. In the end I think the thing that did us in was rebounding. They got way too many looks. Spurs take care of the boards and they escape that game with a win even without kawhi in the second half

I know that the Kingslayer is out this game but this game thread is dead, wake up people! I am hoping for the younglings (Dewayne, Davis, Forbes and Joel) to show Pop some stuff he can use in the rest of the series; at least what players can contribute in this hopefully 6-7 game series. Keep this thread current or Dabom will start a new game thread and who knows what horrors will befall our team then.
