Mills needs to be an energy guy who can bring points from the bench. He is NOT a point guard and is a defensive liability. The Spurs would be crazy to pay him anything exorbitant.

I imagine they are experiencing buyer's remorse on Pau too. It was a calculated risk to bring him in & pay him so much. Based on who was available, it was a good risk. Spurs won 60+ games and finished with the second best record in the league. He just couldn't deliver much in the playoffs...which is the real season.

However, they became way too dependent on Leonard and the offense didn't come together as the coaching staff had hoped. Don't get me started on Aldridge. He's been a problem and a head case. Just what Pop wanted right? To cater to this Prima Donna's fragile psyhce?

except I am ambivalent about Kyle. I doubt PATFO cleans house like that, but if we got some young guys who played with some intensity and intelligence, I would be juiced even if they didn't win 50.

Time to end the loyalty at the expense of progressives moves. Mills has to find another home. No long term contract for a player that has been inconsistent at best, is past his prime and will be a very bad contract going forward.
