Can't the Spurs trade his ass (Pau's) even if he signs? There must be a team looking for a guy on the final year of his contract with "veteran leadership, plays the center position and is a great passer" out there.
Possibly, but that likely wouldn't happen until near the trade deadline of next year, and even then, I doubt it happens. Pau's skill and size can still be utilized against most teams, he just really sucks against the warriors. Unfortunately, that's the one team we need him to play well against. And I'm not sure we'd get much for a declining 37-year-old slow-footed center anyways.
