True statement KDKSPURS24 you sir hit it on the head. Give this man some time to understand basketball at this level; if we go back to kawhi rookie year i'm sure some of you same people were saying stupid then too! Very few people in the world are ready for the type of pressure on the job this kid is up against. HE HAS HEART and you can't teach that.......period!

Can't possibly be because he actually deserved all those minutes?
He got those minutes over who? DJ probably gets that opportunity too if the only other options at PG are Antonio Daniels and the corpse of Terry Porter.

Thread deflecting from the real elephant in the room, Paddy's ability to run an NBA offense. What a trashy player.

Whatever extra money he's supposedly made in the Houston series, he's been losing in this one so far..

If your goal is to take down Golden Sate, what kind of dumb move to go and overpay player who has been destroyed in this matchup for the past two seasons.

Just let Murray learn trial by fire approach! Tough and unforgiving coaching is what he said he wanted from Pop so he could be great......I believe he will be one day and If not it won't be due to lack of EFFORT.

Murray is a more of a new era point guard, score and flashy first. He might never be a traditional point guard but neither was Tony until about 2 years ago with the emergence of Kawahi. We have to be patient. Give him 3 years, let him get consistent playing time, gain wait, develop a jumpshot and then judge him, unlike Kyle Anderson who seems to have reached his peak.

Rookie Parker also had a whole RS to figure things out and the great Timothy Duncan by his side for that entire playoff run.

    Exactly.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing about some 8 year old sports analyst during Parker's rookie year, though, so that was probably the OP.

The whole team sucked tonight except for Simmons. None of the veterans stepped up. LA was the most disappointing.

Can't possibly be because he actually deserved all those minutes?
And Porker 2017 deserved more minutes than some kid scoring 20 something points in a couple of games showing potential? during meaningless RS with TP playing like ?

Oh yeah let's go rant on a 19 year old rooki against possibly the most stacked pussies of all time without the team's two best player that is now led by a former dleaguer and 2 7 foot pussies.

I'm quite impressed with his post-game interview. Mature, reflective, intelligent.

Combine that with his athleticism and skill -- I think we'll be fine going forward.

The hype is real, his ceiling is very high and the work ethic is second to none.

He'll be a major part of this team moving forward. Even Parker had bad games his rookie year.

Cute thread though after a game he didn't do well.

Won't be better than TP, but he will be the second best guard in franchise history though tbh

Can't judge him by the bad games he has in the playoffs. He's a rookie playing a very experienced team. He has already shown flashes of what he can be down the line. He's far from a finished product.

Murray doesn't have to be a point, he is tall enough and quick enough he would be a of a 2 guard. At 6'5 he is as tall as guys like Sprewell and Mitch Richmond. However, if he can develop his PG skills and his outside shooting he is a guy that will make a all-star game or two. He has to learn how to do all the good things he does but also take care of the rock. He does that he will be a fan favorite for many years to come.

Vito, I was thinking the same thing as I continue to watch him play. Ball security must be priority ONE. He dribbles to high and easy to time for a decent NBA defender.
