Wow... Len Bias. What coulda, shoulda, woulda been.
Let's put this into context and perspective: this is the guy who was supposed to carry the DRob/Timmy torch.![]()
It's unfair to put that on him if you ask me. He said he didn't come in trying to be those guys. He's underwhelmed for sure, but I don't think it was ever about him taking the torch. I think it's clear Kawhi and his massive mitts firmly have the torch, and that was clear when Pop said a couple years ago he'd be the franchise player.
Pretty much this. He was suppose to be Kawhi's sidekick. The injury put everything out of whack.
But he can't said "he (Pop) won't look for me to do as much"
To do as much???? He's the highest paid on the team. It's obvious he has to do that much...

Remember Kevin Johnson/Barkley's Suns, I was watching vids of them last week. They were really good but faced Jordan's Bulls. Like Stockton/Malone Jazz.
It's not like GSW are those MJ Bulls but with many stars on their primes I didn't expect the Spurs win the series. In fact, I imagined some games like tonight loss.
I never expected LMA to be TD. But I wanted LMA to be himself, a talented player...That's why it's hard for me to hear "he (Pop) won't look for me to do as much"
I didn't expect a win tonight, -30 loss doesn't bother me, but the highest paid on the team who should have supported the young guys, being a leader on the court for them.. can't say Spurs ask him to do much.
I was really speaking about being The Big on the floor - not The Man. You are right, Pop even called it Kawhi's team before LMA signed.
In the post-game pressed Pop dodged the question about leadership in the face of the team's not believing they could win this game.
He's supposed to MESH with Kawhi but also be an all-star caliber player and he hasn't been. No one's spoiled here.
this has surpassed RJ, i think. Much worse all things considered.
RJ was never a beta. Just a terrible player.
Aldridge is both terrible and an omega.
I don't care if Aldridge thinks Leonard is a universe better than him, saying what he just said is an all-time beta move.
Durbeta, easily.
Durant. Joining 73 win team in his prime to chace a ring. Pussy move.
Aldridge is just soft.
Gotcha.. If we're being honest, more often than not he's been Splitter's replacement. Game 3 is going to be big for him, whether Kawhi is there or not.
Leaving to ring chase like a washup in your prime is the biggest pussy move in sports history. It's cucking yourself and your legacy.
Yeah but Durant is like 10 times more talented. He played like a in games 6 and 7 in the WCF last year, and then pulled the move of the decade in the offseason..
Biggest move ever. These soft ass stars today don't even want to compete. Ewing and Reggie went at it for years, Knicks and Pacers hated each other, never once crossed the mind of Ewing to put on a Pacers uniform. I can't stomach what KD did..
I definitely agree. I remember growing up watching the Knicks-Pacers rivalries. Both teams truly hated each other and like you said you could never picture Reggie and Ewing ever teaming up even though it would have been easier for them to do that. As a compe or I can never understand KD's move. I like to play a lot of basketball in my spare time and played hschool basketball. I never like to play games where I'm playing on a stacked team vs a bunch of scrubs. Those games are not fun. i rather be on the scrub team and try to beat the star squad.
dude.. that's an appalling response. Shape up or ship out.
