Danny Green -- really needs to go back to grade-school and learn how to dribble.. Only SG in the league that cannot dribble.

    He's a 3&D player

That hasn't shot 3's or defended well enough since the bloated contract

Isn't here more accurate then Danny this playoffs?
He shot 40% from 3 vs. Houston and was a big reason why we won game 5

His dribble drive game against Houston was surprising good, Van Gundy, and several writers pointed it out.

For those unaware, he's in one of those situations where some team could do the "poison pill" contract. I'm not sure anyone would but maybe a team like philly or Brooklyn. I see Brooklyn as the greatest threat.
Brooklyn has one NBA caliber guard (Linn) Simmons would probably add 5 wins if they nabbed him.

As for Simmons, I am aware of the concept of poison pill and Arenas FA's ( IIRC, Simmons is one).
Just to clarify; isn't the first two seasons set at MLE ($8.5 million) but the subsequent years are only bound to the maximum he can can make for his experience?

    For example;

    8,500,000-Year 1
    13,000,000-Year 2
    13,000,000-Year 3
    13,000,000-Year 4
    ---------------------
    $47,500,000

    18th.
They weren't even the worst defensive team in playoff (Cleveland-21st, Portland-24th)

I believe he stays. But he looked genuinely upset about the teams effort in the post game interview. Even though he knows he's going to get paid millions in the future he really looked like he cared about competing.

Have always agreed with this. Build around Kawhi/Simmons/Murray
This, tbh...Been saying this forever...Imagine a fast break with those 3...We need to pay Simmons and keep him...we need a player like that

Yeah I hope he gets paid this summer. Sucks that he's already 27 though about to turn 28 in a couple of months.

Manu was still good at 32. And he doesn't have a lot of mileage on those legs.

Tough decision, tbh..you would be paying him big money for 2 weeks of basketball, since he was horrendous during the RS(and barely made the rotation)..

The list of players who got paid off 1 playoff run and then proceeded to struggle is loooooooonnnnggg, it's scary..I trust Pop and RC, though..if they feel like he's worth it, he probably is..

I think the new CBA allows the team matching to decide if they want it the contract to count like before, 2 years mle then 2 years blown up, but also are able to choose to have it count as the conventional way if they want. At least that's my memory from when the new CBA was done.

I'm less worried about his age because he has shown a lot of progress despite that age. His defense is much better now, he used to get stuck on every screen in a bad way, not so anymore.

He needs to be able to dribble left and right for me to give a decent contract. Every play I saw had him look left which was open but then he would dribble to his right hand into opposing defense.

But I have to give him credit he did play with some passion and he was not scared of Durant one bit.

So I take it you're 100% against Danny Green's contract then

God don't get me started on Green honestly I have no Idea how a NBA SG does not know how to dribble. That's why GS is killing us we only have two players on our team that can dribble in open court without turning it over. Mills and Manu.
