This could also be part Silver's LGBT agenda... he doesn't want to "award" Finals games to a U.S. State that is pushing for the same legislative interpretation as what got North Carolina publically lambasted and penalized by the NBA. - concerning the transgender bathroom issue. Silver hates "states like" Texas and will use his position as commissioner to punish them.

Don't even think it's that. Silver would have no problem with the Rox going to the finals and they are from Texas. It's all about market size and SA is a small market.

He would not have allowed Houston to beat the GSW... Much less would've had to even intervene... the Rockets were too gimmicky and would have faltered without any further 'adjustment'...

Look I realize it's probably not the case... operative meaning of the phrasing "could also be part"... it's just completely bewildering how the league chooses to stay mum when Zaza's thuggery was blatantly obvious... Kawhi on a fadeaway is what makes it obvious... Bewildering situations allow for the irrational - which in my mind includes agendas that the league has already set a precedent for. Long shot factor? yes. Completely implausible? No...

I do believe the league favors certain teams and players but it has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with greed. Like I said Houston is huge market it's even a bigger market than the Bay Area https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...tistical_Areas. Why would Silver over the Rox if they were in the same situation. I don't think the Rox could beat GSW but if they had a chance I just don't see Silver going out of his way to screw them over due to them having a bigger market than the Bay Area which equals more dollars in Silver's pocket. They are two things you need to have in this league to generate ratings which is either you have to be from a big market or having a player that can generate huge ratings ala Lebron. Spurs unfortunately don't have either and that plays a huge role in them getting ed over which is no fault of their own.

I definitely feel the league and the media showed their true colors by making sure that Zaza didn't get suspended. The media played it's role by screaming repeatedly that what Zaza did was an accident and was not dirty. When people called it dirty they played the Bowen card. It's terrible how ESPN is the biggest sports media outlet but also has a TV deal with the NBA so there is no way they can ever be fair and not biased towards certain teams.

I think the league has to take a look at it regardless. It hurts the product when the best players aren't playing.
