Lol "How did you guys get back to the finals?" ummm maybe the team they just played in WCF were missing 2 star players and a key role player. Ya think that might have helped?

My coach taught me to set the screen by pushing.

That right there has got to change. It's not just moving screens anymore, they just ing grab and hold. That's a penalty in the damn NFL.

The other thing is the ball handlers/shooters. When they want some space, they just stick a hand in the defender's chest and shove him back a step. They've effectively buried the rules to create these offensive juggernauts. But it's not basketball anymore.

When Manu went to the bench, idiot Mark Jackson immediately threw the focus back on the Dubs, saying what a great guy Curry was to stop at the free throw line to acknowledge Manu. What he actually did was chew on his cud (er mouthpiece), keep his eyes on the basket and clap half-heartedly. Man I hate both Jackson and Curry.
That was gay too. Not sure if y'all heard it though, but a Lets Go Warriors chant started after the Manu chants. ing bandwagon gots.

Those fans are s who used to be Laker fans back in the day and now they have switched over to the Warriors. Ultimately they are LA transplants living in SA.

    DEAD WRONG.

Someone on his own team just did it - Simmons. Simmons averaged 10ppg in the playoffs for less than a million dollars. He also played much better defense and overall played less minutes per game than Mills did. A D-league shooting guard, just like I said. I wasn't even thinking about Simmons when I made that statement. I'd be giving Simmons the money they were considering giving Mills and letting Mills walk.

Like DPG said, Mills is nothing special.

YOU DO NOT PAY Mills any more than maybe the MLE. Someone who constantly underperforms in the playoffs should not get paid MLE or above type money by this organisation.

Alright, I'll relent. In the regular season, yes it is great value (in today's NBA), but I'm only looking at his playoff numbers and 6ppg is all he averages. 4ppg less than the regular season. He got the most playoff minutes he's ever had and literally did nothing with them. He went a whole 4ppg down.
He did the same last season against OKC. Also airballed a game winning shot I think it was game 4?.
Dabom and some ignorant crew spun Mills mediocrity and struggles on KA who was barely playing 8 minutes per game. Glad these dudes are getting exposed.

The MLE is $8 Million next year. You aren't getting a better player than Patty for his salary. It's a bargain.

I over exaggerated a little bit on his ppg these playoffs, Mills still average 10ppg, but yeah, he got more minutes and did nothing with them. He shot around 41% from the field and 36% from three point range. Jonathon Simmons averaged more ppg is less minutes per game with superior defense for under 1 million dollars. Chinook said you can't get that anywhere else. Spurs got that from another player on their own team with better defense, height, fg%, similar 3pt% and a lot less money.

Pay Simmons a fair contract (maybe MLE type money, but don't overpay for him either, though) and let Patty walk.

Sadly, Manu is most likely not coming back unless by some miracle he agrees to come back after the all-star break next season.

Pretty clear from the way Pop started and played him, and pulled him at the end, that they both knew this was probably The Last Game.

We just did. Jonathon Simmons. Who says you can't find someone do the same next year for less than $8 Million? You don't pay Mills that much money. He's an undersized shooting guard that can't play a lick of defense and that underperforms in the playoffs. You don't even pay him $8 Million a year for that.

Yep, and he vowed to be better this season in the playoffs. Said he wasn't happy with the way he played in the playoffs last year. Looks like him and LaMarcus like making similar statements and never deliver. It must an ex-Portland player thing.

I'd be fine with that, better than a Joel Anthony signing.

This. I would hate for the microwave that malfunctions to be overpaid when the Spurs are still paying Tony and what he does can be replicated by Forbes.

Simmons is going to get at least $8 Million next season, and that's only because the Arenas rule caps his salary. But you keep changing the subject. You said Mills was worth that he's being paid now. That's completely not true. You're not going to find a proven guy better than Mills for that money. Can you luck into one or draft one? Possible. But you aren't going on the market with Mills' current salary and bringing back an upgrade.

Pop treated this game like a glorified pre-season game, not a WCF's game. Not at all surprised by the outcome.

I am hoping for some changes but I am probably delusional that Mills won't be back. He's just so inadequate. McCaw and Ian Clark are better more versatile guards than him and McCaw is a better athlete and longer. Forbes can replicate him. Simmons is better all around except shooting. Murray is extremely talented. Mills was the worst guard on the floor the entire series.

Really he's an overrated chucker frankly. He can get insanely hot but I prefer those shooting go to Bertans for example.

I am actually afraid Pop is running this thing right back while leaving young players still in the doghouse.
