maybe that was patty's way of saying that he was going to be the one leaving and not manu.
As evidenced by Patty asking him 'Why is everyone standing up for you?'

In that case, trade him to Brett Brown & the Sixers for their picks![]()
maybe that was patty's way of saying that he was going to be the one leaving and not manu.
Dude is gone.
Both of them played their last game as a Spur last night.
I don't know about Manu, but Patty will be gone by the end of summer.
The media and everyone is putting extra pressure on Manu to retire by over emphasizing how this is his last game and giving him a send off. He even mentions it himself in his Post Game as if the decision has already been made.
some other GM is going to way overpay for Mills.
i think the overcompensation by the media/fans is due to Tim...he retired abruptly and none of us really wanted to believe it was gonna happen. if he does then at least he got the send off he deserved from the fans
Maybe it's not safe to just assume he's going to retire...
I recall Manu being a lot more emotional when he finished playing with Argentina..different situation but not by much. He said himself he wants to take a month off to clear his mind which to me means he's seriously considering playing again..
It'll honestly depend on what PATFO off season plan is along with the $ available. Maybe he's curious to see who they plan on bringing in or keeping.
I'm about 75% sure he's retiring tho
i think it's 50/50 and a lot will depend on what feedback he gets from pop and R.C.
Hope yesterday was the last time both those scrubs wore the jersey
Bring him back he can continue to play the horry role. We'll easily win 50 again in this watered down league.
As long as we don't pay him anywhere near his current salary
I think considering what happened to Tim, and what happened to Tony this year, Manu might be the only one of the Big3 who got a chance to be saluted by their fans and that might be the reason why so many of the fans saluted him as he was gone for good.
I am not sure the fans "wanted" manu to retire, but they wanted to make sure that if he does, he has been saluted by everyone.
I don't think any fans want him to retire. He showed he can still compete. Maybe reduce his minutes and balance that with keeping him active. Spurs don't have a ton of people that can create and make plays. Leonard, Parker, Murray, and Manu. Manu is the best passer out of all of those. He can still be effective if he wants to come back.
BOth should retire
ty Mills should go back to Australia and play in the kangaroo league
Hey, you might want to review your signature given how West and LA panned out.
Yep. Mills is just another Neal, Mason Jr., Berry, Ferrari, etc.. Totally replaceable.
He's 39 but no scrub. He's just old but can still compete for 10-15 mins a game.
Since you are a TP homer, I will say to you: TP can't even lift a leg anymore and he's 35. I'm not a TP hater but I have to call your BS out. Stupid fans like you need to dis Manu for people to love TP - it's the worst kind of fan. You are blinded to the contributions of Manu and the other players throughout the years and can't accept Manu was a great player admired by many friends and foe alike around the league. You just feel that you need to dis him so people love TP, and those two things are not mutually exclusive.
Pop starting and the AT&T serenading him was preemptive. The decision is still his to make. Hopefully he gives us two more years, tbh.
He is smart enough player to still play 15 minutes a game
One could argue that his his lack of speed makes his decision making better. He seemed to play great for his role this playoff.
I would keep him we going to loose Simmons, Mills, Deadmon, need another year of big brother teaching the young guns...Murray, Bertans, Hanga, Nik........
He was one of the worst rotational playoff players this year
He is retiring and establishing a school in his hometown in Guatemala
