Eh. They weren't the reason we lost. Let's take a look at our starting backcourt

    Game 1:
    Green - 8pts, 2ast, 3TO, 3/5FG
    Mills - 5pts, 3ast, 1TO, 1/8FG

    Game 2:
    Green - 5pts, 0ast, 0TO, 2/7FG
    Mills - 5pts, 1ast, 1TO, 2/6FG

    Game 3:
    Green - 7pts, 2ast, 4TO, 3/11FG
    Mills - 7pts, 6ast, 1TO, 2/10FG

Kawhi had plenty of stars next to him this year. They're all old and worn out, but they were there.

Seriously, I think everyone would agree that two stars are better than one.

A Patty vs Tony fight in a "co-star for Kawhi" thread. That's like a celary vs cabbage fight on a "best side dishes for red meat" thread.

Disgraceful disen Little General. Stevie Curry 16 t/o in 4 games, Little General 6 in total. Looked after the rock just shot the ball like Klay.

I don't disagree with this premise, but the Spurs managed to beat a better than twice with Kawhi on the bench. It's easy to say that the supporting cast sucks after they got swept without him, but the gap between the Warriors and the Celtics is massive.

My respect for tp grew even more with the way he played in these playoffs. He seemed to dig deep and step up when Aldridge just wasn't cutting it.

He hasn't beaten the Warriors without Lebron. He's hit a really important shot over Curry. The Spurs already had guys who did that. They lack both the talent and the offensive structure to compete for the first 47:30 without Kawhi.
