They'd likely prefer to send Aldrich's contract back, but I'm not sure it'd be a deal breaker because they could absorb Gasol's salary without it and since Aldrich has less than a third guaranteed for the following season, they'd both essentially be on expiring contracts anyway.
Waiving Hill's non guaranteed contract is another way to create some flexibility, though they'd probably rather go over the cap at that point and open up the MLE for Tucker or someone of that ilk.
