At that age, ring is more important than an extra $50 million over 5 years.
That's what fans would like to think. But $50,000,000???? He'll convince himself that they can figure it out in LA. If they're willing to pay him that.

It's 10 million a year. With all the cash he has he just needs to invest in real estate in the right places and he'll make way more than the 50m profit... AFTER TAXES.. in 5 years.

Some rich peeps don't know what investing is, and I feel sorry for them.

Bull . Spurs skullbanged the warriors with a not 100 kl and parker in street clothes. Had the spurs been full health it would be spurs cavs. Spurs missing 2 of their best 5.

Paul isn't going to look at staying in LA as a death sentence. If they pay him that money, they're going to show him some kind of plan. And probably ask for his input. And it's not like the Spurs are just one player away. He's not going to take less money to play for a team that is sort of close.

And what ing world do you live in where $10,000,000 isn't big . No matter how you want to break it up, it's still $50,000,000 ing million dollars.

Spurs are a player away. We would have won the WCF with an 100% Leonard. Scoreboard, plain as day.

Cancer is a . You can tell it's draining Pippen.

That said, he is right with CP3 not fitting.

I like the optimism. We were at least going up 1-0. Spurs have too many ninjas not pulling weight.

Is it? I'd take the money tbh. And how'd that ring chasing work out here for David West and David Lee tbh? . At least West might have gotten it right in his second attempt at Golden State tbh.

I'm talking about as one of the stars on the team, not as a washed up middle of the bench guy.

Money makes the world go around tbh. It's one thing for a guy to take a small pay cut, but we aren't getting CP3 for peanuts tbh.

The only way CP3 is coming to the Spurs is via a sign n trade with the Clippers, probably traded for LA. As a spur I would do it in a heartbeat, the question is; Can CP3 convince the Clippers go for it? Say, he threatens to leave anyway and they get nothing in return?

    CP3/Tony/Dejounte
    Danny/JSimms
    Kawhi/KA
    David Lee/Bertans
    Dedmon/Pau

    is a very intriguing lineup!

So you think Parker being in full health but Kawhi being out would have changed the outcome of the series?

^Alpha, Lee is done as a productive NBA player. That injury didn't look good.

Folks here have a short memory. Both Manu and Tony stunk it up pretty bad in the regular season. That's 82 games. You take a 4 or 8 game sample where they get at least a day off between games and you pretend they had a rebirth. They are both washed up. They were washed up at the beginning of the season. , Tony's been washed up for 3 years at least.

To them, they just needed to be needed. Now both will return to see how much more career stat padding they can do because neither will improve the Spurs playoff chances and both are taking up roster spots, and Tony won't come off the bench.

Lol. No . Some s be acting like these players don't understand how much money that is.

It's enough on its own to take care of many generations. Or maybe a risky investment. It's a lot of damn money. At the end of the day, give me the extra $50 million. And it's not like the Spurs are a guarantee.

It's cool as what West did but it was pretty nuts.

We're talking $50,000,000. If the Clips are willing to pay that, there's no way he becomes a Spur.

Agree. A healthy Spurs could have beaten Worriers and for sure Lebron's team. Why gut it out for a 32 yr old undersized guard? Spurs needed a big time post player who can pound inside and block shots, when Spurs depend the 3's. I really think if any, Cousins is the answer. Pops like him. Can Spurs swap LMA for him? Cousins is a headache in a losing team. But in a winning culture? And LMA outside shooting compliments Davis game, plus he has better demeanor. LMA is a very player just not the franchise we expected him to be.

This makes no sense. Folks who think the Spurs could have beaten the GSW and Cavs, then think we need a different roster.. make no sense. If we have the roster we need to beat the best, why change it? It doesn't matter who you have, if they aren't playing, you're not going to get their services.

I am not in favor of mortgaging the team for Chris Paul. However, on this team, he would instantly make everyone around him better. He's a vocal leader, keeps people on the floor accountable and competes his ass off. Can you imagine how much better Leonard would be with Paul making things happen for him? Paul signing here would extend Kawhi's career. They are currently asking too much of him in my opinion.

I actually agree that the Spurs had the roster to win it all. What they didn't have, is the ability to survive Leonard's injury. Not many teams could - except GS.
