    BS...

San Antonio is always sold out because corporate buys the tickets. San Antonio isba terrible city for sports.

Either fat Americans or Mexicans or en led corporate rednecks. Disgusting. Should be moved to Vancouver tbh.

As long as he doesn't expect you to offer anything substantial in the way of a stance, he'd be ok I think.

tickets all sold out, yet when u camera zooms out there are pockets of empty seats...

Yeah, that team has never had that stable a fan base. You'd get some young Lakers fans who would follow the Clips because they're young and easily enticed to supposed flash. But nary the fandom that ever really challenged the Lakers.

This study is inherently flawed as it favours teams in large metropolitan areas, where the potential customer base is much larger. If a team in Dallas, or LA, or NY starting to suck, the fairweather fans would leave, but the second hand ticket prices would also decrease, allowing other fans (loyal or fairweather) to pick up these tickets comparatively cheaply. Also, in cities where there are two teams (just NY and LA), the more established team will always have a bigger draw purely because people want to be seen there. When both teams suck, the established team will get more ticket sales, when both teams are great, both teams will sell out, so this helps explain why LA Clippers are at the bottom of the list (also because they were horrible throughout the 90s and nobody watched them until CP3 joined).

A better look would be 2nd hand ticket price fluctuations vs. winning %.

Also, attendance also favours smaller arenas because they are easy to sell out the tickets.

Any study that has the Clippers at the bottom can safely be ignored. We have a small fanbase, but it takes loyalty to sit through decades of garbage basketball and dysfunction, especially in the same city as the Lakers.

Even discounting that: New Orleans, Charlotte and Atlanta in the top six? Toronto in the middle of the pack? Portland and Utah near the bottom? Just more evidence that these fan loyalty studies always produce garbage results that don't match reality.

Vancouver couldn't keep the expansion team that they were awarded. Why in the would you think they would get another team????
