I'd take him. Rather have rondo though.
Chip will fix this mfer's shot tbh and he'll be great. What can PATFO do to acquire him as Porker's less obese replacement?
I'd take him. Rather have rondo though.
Rondo is a cancer tbh.
The problem is everyone except rondo on his teams is a cancer tho
No one's fixing his jumper. He's been playing professionally for 13 years without improving it.
no, I'd take Derrick Rose over that POS. , I'd take Jalen Rose over Rubio today.
He shot a career best 40% least year tbh. Upward trajectory.![]()
Not every jumper is fixable
If Rose signs with them, I can clearly see a win-win Gasol for Rubio trade.
Rubio while a great passer is not an alpha. I don't think he's championship caliber.
Neither are 4 of our 5 current starters
Rubio is a drama queen that is still waiting for the NBA to gift him a career moment. He was all hype and has only lived up to the Pre-draft hype that he couldn't shoot in the NBA. But if you're the Twolves, trading him finally shows that you agree that you should've drafted Curry over Rubio and Flynn. What an epic fail! Draft two point guards in the lottery and neither is Curry.
He was a much tier version of jayson williams
Isn't that the truth... That is what tops him from being a top tier point guard.. When ranking the top 10 PG's in the league, his name going unmentioned.
it, at this point bring back TJ Ford, Darius Washington, and Chris Quinn.
Sounds like a lot of ya'll did not follow Rubio this year he had some really big games and while his jumper obviously isn't good he shot the ball with a lot more confidence than in years past and kept the defense honest. I think it's fair to call him a fringe top 10 point guard in the league. He can handle and pass and play defense as well as any other point guard.
If cp3 doesn't come, and Murray isn't ready to be the man (and I think he needs 2 more years). it might be a very good play - Wolves have been trying to trade him for 18+ months & nearly did a him for D Rose trade (which shows they don't want much back...).
1. He's strong defensively (one of the top defensive PG's in the league). Rubio-Green-Kawhi is an awesome defensive set up.
2. He's on a contract for 2 more years, that by current standards is OK. It fits in nicely for a reload if neccesary. Summer 2019 has Green (assuming he takes next years player option), Aldridge (assuming he takes next years player option), and Rubio all dropping off, which would be a serious reload option before Kawhi's contract is up...
3. Finally, he might be a lot better than people think in a lineup - dude can really pass. Think of a lineup Aldridge-Bertans-Kawhi-Green-Rubio. 4 guys who can shoot, one of the best set up guys in the league, and primary (Kawhi) and secondary (LMA) iso options... that could work pretty well.
He's a good facilitator and defender. Would take for the right price.
