At least when people here start bagging on a great player who hasn't won a championship while extolling a player that isn't as good but has won a championship, we can throw out Zaza Gabor. Dude shows it's better to be lucky than good.
The Warriors are too big to fail from a financial standpoint for the league. They will let them get away with anything outside of literally murder on the court. One thing I have noticed is the Warriors and Curry attract fans who would not normally be interested in basketball. I remember being at the mall a few months ago and seeing 3 hschool kids who were goths wearing leather jackets and Curry jerseys.

Never seen something like that before in my life, but I have seen a kid or two who I never would have thought being interested in Basketball going for Curry and the Warriors the past couple of years. Seems like a lot of those "casuals" got on the bandwagon the past two years. I think a lot of them got on after they won it.
I feel Curry attracts a lot of odd people who become fans simply because he doesn't look like the typical basketball player. He looks like he's 10 years old and has a innocent cartoon like look. That makes him an easy sell to a lot of these people. I remember growing up during the 90's and how a lot of kids in elementary and middle school including myself liked BJ Armstrong outside of MJ and Pippen. It had a lot to do simply because he looked like a kid along with the fact he looked real innocent which made him likable and easy to relate to. I even remember one year where he got voted into the ASG simply because kids across the country stuffed his name in the ballot boxes at every foot locker. Curry has the same type of appeal as BJ but it's magnified 100X because unlike BJ he is a superstar.
