I get there and I go Monday morning, we’re going to do our workouts. These were like the hardest workouts I’d ever done. We were flipping tires in the driveway of the practice facility, lifting weights, doing wind sprints and then playing 5-on-5 pickup, and after all that I’m ready to drop dead. It’s like three hours of hard work in the middle of the summer, six weeks before camp, they’re like, we’re going to go out back and run the hill.
So I go outside and at this point, it’s noon. It’s probably 100 degrees out, humid, I’m exhausted. I go out back and they have this huge man-made hill in the back of the practice facility and I’m like, “Oh my gosh.”
I’m running up this hill. At some point during the hill workout, I was getting light-headed, and I remember swaying a little bit. All of a sudden, BAM! Someone grabs my shirt, starts pulling me up the hill. You know who that was? Tim Duncan. Right there with us every step of the way, doing the whole workout.
I don’t know what Rob would base that on, and I love Rob, he was a great mentor for me. But in my experience, Timmy was as disciplined and hard-working as they come.

    Timmy the Gawd.

Everyone within the organization knows his work ethic. Horry was just being a hyperbolic chode, tbh.

Bob's probably still mad that TD didn't inbound the ball to him in 2005 Finals Game 7 for the game sealing FTs and instead waited for Manu to come get the ball. Somehow that Manu was the better FT shooter and was making everything probably doesn't matter in his mind.

'cause Horry's ignorant. Dude has really become pathetic in retirement. Bitter, fat and dumb as rocks. Still love his Game 5 though.

Can anyone shed light on the bitterness Horry had when he retired from the Spurs? Did he want to continue playing? I am unfamiliar with this story.

No one hates Bonner more than me but even I have to admit that was classy and timely of him to say.

Matt's awesome! I watch Stars games (boy are they awful) but Matt's commentary is hilarious. He was sarcastically talking about Garnett then the other announcer said "uh oh, KG might hear this" to which Bonner replied "Does anyone actually watch this?" LOL!

When his contract ended, the Spurs moved on - as did every team in the league. Horry's last year with the Spurs was awful, as was his work ethic. He blamed the Spurs when it was his own undoing.

Tim's reputation for being a gym rat is legendary. Rob wanted some attention and he got it. That's all it was.

I wish Horry missed that shot at the end of game 5, even if the Pistons repeat there. Bob y. He's a true #Laker4Life

Because he was collecting a million dollar check for years after being a waste of space the whole time, never wanting to go away, even hurting the team in the playoffs at points, and for falsely taking credit for beating the Thunder in '14 when Bobo was the real x factor in that turning point. I hate sandwiches because of him.

Boner seems like a good guy, always did, but he was one of the worst mistakes the spurs ever made and pops love affair with him was one of the main reasons pop became known as pop /drunk pop/poop

It's already been said but Horry was trying to draw attention to his taco shirt. He wasn't serious.
