I like the idea of James coming here with Cp but melo and wade? ing gross. By that time, they will be no better than Manu at this point. lol at anyone who thinks melo and wade would actually help against the worriors.

Don't think Kawhi would be happy for his team to be usurped by the banana boat crew.

Have to wait and see what Cavs do with the roster. If they finish next season with the same roster then Spurs would have a chance.
They don't really have any assets to work with, so I don't see a big change-up happening. They would either have to trade Love for another big piece (which would basically be a wash, considering how well Love played this season), or they would have to hope they can get a game-changer to sign for the minimum which seems unlikely.

I'm sure they will pull some strings like they did with Korver and Williams, but we saw how that ended up working out for them.

Lebron would take away from Kawhi's legacy.
Kawhi gotta find a way to get past the SuperWarriors if he wants to truly have a legacy...which will probably take a guy like Lebron.

Pop is the president of operations...he's the boss of everything about the Spurs other then ownership.

LeBron has never played for a coach like Pop...there's a reason why he's respected more then any other active coach by players and other coaches..
Exactly. I think a compelling argument can be made that the reason LeBron has so often assumed coaching/GM duties is because he's so often played for teams (pretty much the Cavs) with weak/inept front offices. I mean, the dude played for Mike Brown and David Blatt. I bet he willingly ceded much control over personnel if he ever joined a team with a solid front office like the Spurs or, as much as I hate to say it, GSW. He will probably always want input but that's not out of line for a star of his magnitude, especially because he actually has a legit a en for the game.

I like the idea of James coming here with Cp but melo and wade? ing gross. By that time, they will be no better than Manu at this point. lol at anyone who thinks melo and wade would actually help against the worriors.
Would Melo and Wade be any worse than Manu, Green, Anderson, Pau, Aldrige? I very much doubt it. Or better yet, wouldn't you take Wade and Melo over guys like JR Smith, Richard Jefferson, Shumpert, and Deron Williams? I know I would.

Pretty much anyone coupled with Kawhi, LeBron, and CP3 should suffice to get past GSW. Wade and Melo would be more than enough, IMO.

When LBJ first went to Miami it was still Wade's team, soon it became obvious that LBJ was the best player but it was still Wade's team. If LBJ were to come to the Spurs I don't think he would be the best player, and would be seen more as a very valuable hired assassin but a hired assassin nonetheless. So no worries there, especially if he gets us two or more rings, then he would just be the best free agent acquisition ever.
Whats going for the Spurs is Pop. Lebron respect him a lot and has mentioned him in interviews, not compared to other coaches. Plus I think Melo likes Pop as well for team USA.

I really don't see what lebron gains by going to the lakers. If he had won this year or his first year back in Cleveland and had a banked a couple more championships I could see him going to help his "brand" but not with only 3. The clips would be a slightly better situation but have really shown no capacity to fill out their roster beyond the top players. At least pop and rc have a history of building le teams and have done so three times (99, 2003-2007, and 2014).

    What's wrong with this picture?

San Antonio 7th largest city in U.S. , population 1.5 million - 1 major sport team
Cleveland 51st largest city in U.S. , Population 385,800 thousand - 4 major sports teams and a arena football team.

San Antonio wants sports teams in NFL, MLB, MLS , but can't even support the Talons in arena football.
This tells me the fans in Cleveland are attending every sporting event multiple times., and most likely attending Ohio St football games.
Why is money such a big issue with the Spurs when they are the only show in town. They should be able to sign who they want at any time. The money is there.
What cons utes a big market? Population, ticket sales, corporate sponsors, tv ratings?
Why wouldn't Chris Paul and LeBron James sign here?

Also think about this, if CP3 goes to the Spurs, in what world would Lebron go to the Lakers? He would have to get by San Antonio and Golden State, he would be forced to stay in the East.

Spurs have to get CP3 and Lebron will follow.
