Exactly. All this hype for that team is ridiculous. Bulls of yesteryear would have wiped them off the floor. How is it that people have such short memories. What the Spurs did to the Heat in 2014 was more impressive than the accomplishments of a bunch GS twinks.

Dennis Rodman meets Draymond Green. I'd buy a ticket to that.

as much as Rodman was never my cup of tea, remember him sitting on sideline with shoes off in SA, his type of psychological warfare would have crushed Draymond. Green falls for obvious traps, much less that 80's and 90's psychological games Rodman learned from the likes of Laimbeer and the rest of the Pistons.

The 2001 Lakers would have pounded them into paste, but the Warriors have no real compe ion in this league right now. I fully expect Pachulia to hurt Leonard again next year, so no go there.
This post kinda makes me crave Thai curry.

If Murray puts in the work he has the potential to be a stud in the league. Sounds like he wants to be something bigger than JAG.

Good god you are overrating the Warriors. This 16-1 record was hardley impressive. The Spurs would have pushed them 6-7 games with a healthy Leonard. If the Cavs didn't choke away game 3, that series goes 6-7 games as well. If Utah wasn't so banged up, they would have stolen 1-2 games as well. The Warriors had a good year, but everything fell into place for them. The 2001 Lakers run was way more impressive.
and the dubs were about as healthy as a team can be by that time of the year.

Holy . He's there at 1AM? Unless you live in a different timezone.
I grabbed the pic from google images. I live in NYC.

But he's been at the Spurs Facility working xtra hours (12AM+) since elimination. I don't follow him on Schat but Instagram. More or less the same content.

We've been waiting for the law of averages to kick in for them for well over three years now and it hasn't happened. At this point I wouldn't be shocked if they added Cousins or Davis to their roster as well to give themselves an All-Star starting five.
Hope you're not serious. Davis isn't a FA for years so they'd have to trade salary for him. No way a deal gets done there. Cousins they'd have to clear cap space for. Unless Durant and Curry take severely under market deals, there's no way in to make it work.

They're both going to have to be way better than they are to give us a shot against the Warriors.
    Don't fear the warriors

If Murray can establish a midrange game that could do the kid wonders...he can get into the paint with no problem but sometimes if he can't finish at the basket he gets in no mans land...

Yep, they even had to fake Zaza's injury so he wouldn't have to face the wrath of the spurs crowd.

Watching videos of Edmond Sumner, a PG in the 2017 draft somewhat similar to Murray's profile, shows what Murray could do if he worked on his Eurostep.

Tbh, the most important shot for him to add is the three point shot. To be a good starting point guard in the NBA, it is almost vital to shoot the 3 at a high percentage.

He needs to have a better inside game. While being able to shoot is nice, he's at his best when attacking. Get really good at something before you put all your energy into something else

I was thinking the same thing. Draymond would have been thrown out after Rodman tackled him on the floor like Karl Malone.

He needs 20 pounds of pure muscle.
And chip needs to pull a miracle with his 3 ball.

He shot 39.1 on 3s which is very good albeit at a low rate. More of a problem is his 43.1 overall FG% which is mostly due l think to his reliance on floaters. He has good touch on floaters but floaters are a low percentage shot, particularly the mid range floaters he uses rather than a conventional jump shot.

Actually in edit 43.1 isn't bad, good for a rookie, not elite but good.

All great news! Thanks for posting.

I'm pleased that Murray recognizes that he needs work, and that he's willing to put in the gym hours. Also pleased that Kawhi is working with him. Comfort level between those two is huge. I'd love to see them clicking by the start of the season. This roster has the potential to have a lot of athleticism. Hopefully Pop will let the horses run.
GS is your target. You try to run with them, you die.

Kyle Anderson also plans on working out with Kawhi (also working out with Westbrook and AD). New Big 3?
