Should've spent less time studying if he wanted to be a great bball player. He has all the athleticism, height, and wingspan necessary.
The Barry's have phenomenal genes. The youngest son is insanely athletic his skill just isn't great.

Buying the pick might be the better way to go
The two Latvians look better (quicker and less mechanical) than Kuzma.
The main mocks (NBA Draft.net and Draft Express) both have the Spurs taking Latvian Rodions Kurucs at #29.
All of the sudden, Latvia is the new Rucker park.
Kind of agree. He essentially has Danny Green's measurables with even better athleticism, but somehow even less skill. He has the size and length of a prototypical 2-Guard that most indersized Guards would kill for.

Damn.. Bummer. Same disease Isaiah Austin has. He was protected as a mid-late 1st-Rounder and some mocks had the Spurs taking him as a draft-and-stash.
Riga time![]()
Adam Zagoria: Josh Hart still has Atlanta, Spurs and Phoenix workouts. At Sixers now. Didn’t shoot well.

Josh Hart has a lot of Danny Green in him, only a better slasher. He could contribute right away, too.
That's awesome.
Dude should just focus on Nuclear Engineering though. He's already 23 and probably going to be out of the NBA in a year or two if he gets drafted at all.
Gran Canaria center Anzejs Pasecniks is working out for the Spurs and has worked out for Portland recently. 14 hours ago – via NBA Maniacs

The big Latvian will be gone by the time we pick, sadly.
The league glorifies re s and twinks and crowns them kings.
Spurs should groom Canyon Barry to replace Buford
Josh Hart is no where near the shooter of Danny. Nor the defender. He's Keith Bogans (in fact many sites compare him to Bogans).
Bogans?

Danny Green was a career 37% 3-pt shooter at UNC, Josh Hart a career 39% shooter at Villanova. Both shot it at over 40% from 3 their Senior seasons.
You know Hart was the Big East Player of the Year AND Big East DPOY this season, right? He's a far better player than Danny ever was in college, and he's a terrific defender. Obviously that doesn't guarantee he'll be a better pro than Danny, because we don't know how he'll translate, but he's a better scorer, dribbler, passer, rebounder, and assistman than Danny Green was coming out of college. Comparing a prime Danny right now (who turns 30 next week) to a 22 year-old college player is unfair. Can't do it.
*And Hart is getting a lot of Malcom Brogdon comparisons, who is about to be named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team, and will likely finish 2nd in ROY voting behind Dario Saric.
Franklin is 25 year-old SG that plays in China. He's 6'5 191 lbs with a 6'11 wingspan and ridiculous 8'7 1/2 in standing reach. He led the China league in assists at almost 9 per game. Was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 NBA draft out of San Diego State by the Grizzlies. College teammate of Kawhi's.
Had a pair of 60-pt Triple-Doubles in China last season.

See above.
I've always liked Franklin. Glad the Spurs are giving him a shot.
Has Ball worked out for the Spurs yet? I'm anticipating a drop given how annoying his dad is.
