I'm not familiar with this Spurs site, but they have a list of five players the Spurs should avoid drafting. They are Terrance Ferguson, Tony Bradley, John Collins, Ivan Rabb and Harry Giles.

I agree the Spurs shouldn't draft any of these guys but I'm not sure why anyone would think they might in the first place. Here's the link:

    https://airalamo.com/2017/06/15/san-...players-avoid/
So they chose a few mid-to-late 1st round projected dudes and concentrated on the holes in their games and health issues duh. Anyone available at 29 will come with considerable concerns, otherwise they wouldn't be there that late in the draft.

There's a handful of nice prospects likely to be available in the second round. I hope the Spurs buy themselves a couple of 2nd rnd picks since we're going to need cheap contracts with CP3 coming...

My Top 5 2nd rnd targets:

    1. Johnathan Motley (6'9, PF/C, Baylor, 22.1yo)

    2016-2017 stats
    17.3ppg, 9.9rpg, 2.3apg, 0.4spg, 1.1bpg, 52.2FG%, 28.1 3P%, 26.7PER, .208 WS/48, 9.9BPM

    2. Dillon Brooks (6'7, SF, Oregon, 21.4yo)

    2016-2017 stats
    16.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.7apg, 1.1spg, 0.5bpg, 48.8FG%, 40.1 3P%, 25.6PER, .214 WS/48, 8.6BPM

    3. Frank Mason III (5'11, PG, Kansas, 23.2yo)

    2016-2017 stats
    20.9ppg, 4.2rpg, 5.2apg, 1.3spg, 0.1bpg, 49.0FG%, 47.1 3P%, 25.5PER, .230 WS/48, 10.7BPM

    4. Derrick White (6'5, PG, Colorado, 23yo)

    2016-2017 stats
    18.1ppg, 4.1rpg, 4.4apg, 1.2spg, 1.4bpg, 50.7FG%, 39.6 3P%, 27.3PER, .211 WS/48, 11.8BPM

    5. Sindarius Thornwell (6'5, SG, South Carolina, 22.8yo)

    2016-2017 stats
    21.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 2.8apg, 2.1spg, 1.0bpg, 44.5FG%, 39.5 3P%, 30.3PER, .274 WS/48, 16.2BPM

Right now nbadraft.net has the Spurs taking Bell.
Can't say is be opposed to that. The guy is an athlete.
That would be so great. Just adding young, versatile defensive players is a major plus in the front court.

Unfortunately some draftniks say Bolden is rapidly rising and is scheduled to come over and work out for teams. I think Spurs may be lucky if he's around at 29. Same with Evans who is a better PG solution than Mills from the get go.
I think people are underselling DJ Wilson. Bolden is not some can't miss prospect compared to Wilson at all it appears.

Looking at videos of Bolden and Wilson my take.
Bolden is a quicker more fuid athlete, more capable of guarding out on the floor. Very quick jumper off one or two feet. Very good hands. Better body control. Better handles, could grab and go full court. Quick high release shot at a slightly higher percentage at greater Euro distance (showed easy stroke at NBA distance in many shots). I'll be very surprised if he lasts to Spurs pick. Very happy if they get him.

Almost every major site that does college player evaluations that I have seen have Wilson as a slightly better prospect is what I'm saying.

It could turn out that Bolden is better obviously I'm just saying I would not be mad at either.

Ojeleye, Ferguson, and Wilson look interesting, they may be a little higher than the Spurs can pick. 2nd pick I like Blossomgame and Canyon Barry, just kidding, but really Canyon Barry.... nah, I'm kidding
I'm happy with Blossomgame, White is growing on me

Who do you want to see the Spurs choose in the draft that's a realistic possibility? Pick your top three choices.
I have in order Bolden, Evans, White.
    Good call

When Fathead heads to China next year, no pun intended, we'll have a new guy to laugh at

Hopefully he doesn't break our starting Center's hand with his forehead though...

As long as the guy doesn't get playoff minutes.
