Would anyone be interested in going hard after him? It would probably mean getting rid of Aldridge, though. I personally would live to have Z over Softy.

He's 35, why would the Spurs need to give up Aldridge for him? He'd need to come on a cheap contract which means he'd give Memphis a discount before SA.

Only on a discount deal. And if he's giving a discount to anyone, it'll be Memphis.

BTW, on a side note, if Pop drafts Marc Gasol instead of Ian, the Lakers have to jump through serious hoops to get Pau. The Spurs would have had Duncan, Manu, Parker, and Gasol......we would have been insanely tough to beat....then you add Kawhi and Green to the mix and we are winning le after le.

I would only want Z-Bo if Memphis wants to do him a solid a sign and trade him with a 2 year deal for Gasdoll

I might would take him at a vet min to fill in the David Lee role. But I thought David Lee stepped up at times throughout the playoffs. Not sure if he would've been the problem and I think he did a decent job of standing up to David West in the WCF if I remember correctly. ZBo has fire and compe iveness though he'd be a good bench player on any contender at this point. Does he whine and complain about every call or no call? Yes, but I think part of that is just him trying to do anything he can do to help the team win. Definitely wouldn't take him over Aldridge though he's too old and a fringe starter at best.

Is this 2011? People and their love for names.

He is a bench player nowadays and would take minutes from Bertans at the 4. If you are looking for a bench big my top target is Aron Baynes to replace Dedmon.

I disagree. I think that if he gives any team a discount it will be him taking a vet min deal with the Warriors to try to get a ring (although I REALLY hope that I'm wrong).

Problem with Z-Bo is that he can't bring it every night, rugged as he may be. Memphis will pay him too much for him to just be a contributor. He'd have to be a top-7 guy.

He's done. He only had one start in him against us in the playoffs

Great 18 year star career for a relatively undersized unathletic PF IMO. All heart guts and skills

Eh, a few years ago I would say do it. But, while his toughness is still there, he has lost his step lately... not worth what he probably wants to be paid.
