He went to China...
That's fair.
He went to China...
Sorry. Not-NBA gets lumped in to "Europe", I guess. That's small-minded of me, but I'm not going to lie - that's how I got there. The point was that he wasn't good enough to make it in the NBA the first time around - but that doesn't mean that he couldn't be good enough now.
But I do think that if there aren't other teams competing for him, it's more likely that he would be one of those guys who spend a lot of time in Austin. When Anthony Parker came back, there was no doubt that he was going to be getting lots of minutes, if not starting. After going out and looking at Franklin a little, I think that's probably a lot more likely.
Running multiple guards in a lineup is not the same as playing power forward. The guy never did a damn thing that resembled playing like a power forward aside from getting rebounds.. I don't need to rely on a draft express profile because I am pretty sure I watched 15+ of his games every year he was at SDSU.
It wasn't just that opposing fans hated him, his own fans/coach got tired of his antics all the time. You can go back and find threads on SDSU boards lamenting his bull . Maybe he's grown up, but I doubt it. I still get a kick out of the SDSU fans who swore up and down he'd have a longer NBA career than my boy Tony Snell. To the poster who asked above, not a UNM fan, UNM alum.
Don't doubt anything you say but why do you think he's working out with the Spurs then? Favor to KL who might be the exception and like him?
Honestly no clue, but I really don't expect it to go very far unless he's much different than he was when he was at SDSU.
