The country was built to greatness by the people that grew up in the depression and won WW2. They are all but dead now.

The generation currently dying off are the boomers. The baby boomers ran up a ton of debt voting themselves free rides and embracing the concept that greed was good ever since they entered their majority in the mid 70s. Boomers pretty famously rejected their forebearers with slogans like "don't trust anyone over 40" and "turn on, tune in, drop out" and then proceeded in dismantled the regulatory regime the country was built on in the 1980s thru today.

"fought for" for the generation that justified draft dodging and lost Vietnam. Boomers didn't create ; they just milked their legacy for all it was worth.

Awesome post. The only thing I would add is that generation X turned out to be lackey's of the Boomers. Instead of rebelling against the Boomers they eventually gave up due to the Boomers massive size advantage compared to their generation and became followers. This also played a role in the Boomers being able to speed up the process in dismantling the social safety nets that this country once had. Had Gen X rebelled against the Boomers they could have delayed and stopped some of the destruction.

When did I say you voted for Trump?

There are all kinds of issues that are important to voters. There is the economy, banking, education, environment, arts and sciences, infrastructure, housing, women's rights, minority rights, terrorism, security, social security, guns trade, SCOTUS, trade, LGBT, etc.

When evaluating someone politically it is important to be comprehensive. On social issues Hillary is liberal by and large but hardly unform but when it comes to the economy and foreign policy she is not. She is right with the jeebo s on the latter two particularly on trade, regulation, and defense.

As for white christian nationalism, I called you that because the shoe fit. You made no attempt at being comprehensive you chose three issues.

Immigration is the clarion call of white nationalists. You even went with the fear mongering rhetoric of the extreme right pedagogues like Duke and Bannon about open borders which was just so much stupidity. She voted for a wall herself when in the senate.

Abortion is by far the top issue for Christians. Fertility cults are annoying but I digress. Here you also went with the extreme fearmongering rhetoric of those of the god delusion with the talk of "no limits" as if she was going to remove the Wade vs Roe prohibitions on late term abortions already in place. You and Ted Cruz are peas in a pod.

And then of course there is the health care which is currently the signature issue of GOPo s. BTW, 60% of the public supports a public option. Given your own standard that makes it moderate.
