I think the keyword is "established". Maybe the Suns are trying to fast track through the rebuilding process and get a player who can help make them more compe ive immediately.

I don't doubt that Phil is dumb enough to trade Porzingis away. What I do doubt, though, is him having any willingness whatsoever to trade away KP to Popovich and the Spurs. No way in is he taking any risk helping us out It'd have to be an obviously one-sided trade with the Knicks coming out on top for Phil to consider trading with us.

Yeah I agree with this. As much as I want LMA off the team, what's the end game here? Why would CP3 come to a team that's been gutted and full of lottery picks, if LMA was traded for a lotto pick (and Green too). Would Gasol even re-sign if two of the starters were traded?

Bc Spurs have Kawhi a legit MVP candidate and the team will project to have a future. Spurs weren't going to win with Aldridge bottom line and would be unwise to wait until Kawhis last season is coming up b4 he's a FA with the same TOSB team and not playing their youth. The way they were going they didn't have a future... Manu retiring and Tony with a blown knee.... I guess Pop has really thought what happens if Tony doesn't come back from that bad knee without him they don't even make it out of the first round let's be honest.

It's time to really move on to the next generation.

Edit: MaNu4Tres will tell you Spurs should have done this last season. Other posters here argued for a retooling and reloading last off season.
