Eh, you get a year to change his mind, and in the mean time you've got a wicked perimeter squad.
Now we know he's really gone, the value is just dumping salary to go for Paul. Spurs are pitching a high draft pick but may settle for anything.

If anything Detroit seems desperate at 12.
I would have to believe it would be hard to leave a championship team and with him, and IF MVParker comes back round Christmas, then we have a legitimate chance to get that rang. If we get the ship or come close he might be inclined to hang around a year or two then bolt for the Lakers which would be all I would want from him anyway. that and maybe lure in LBJ.
He's got a year on his contract. I believe the going rate is young prospect and pick
He's an expiring for all intents and purposes. He's got a player option.
Cap space will be tighter this summer so actually don't mind getting something for him now if this is in fact true (him wanting out).
The landing spot for all former Spurs bigs.
That would be a good place for him. He'd do well in the east.
LMA for Ibaka!
LMA and Danny to Orlando for Biyombo and the 6th
I don't see the point in packaging Green and LMA. Let's say Danny can get the 20th pick and LMA the 15th. Rather than over both for 12.
Depends on how high the pick.
Doubt they do that well, unless his old teammate RoLo puts in a good word for LMA... Doubtful!
This makes the chances of saving Green much higher, which is good.
I'd try LMA and 29th for Biyombo and Payton.
Ew. I'd rather get their second first instead of Payton.
I like Payton - especially his 'do.Then forget about CP3 and go for a SG
Now you're speaking my language.
from all accounts that I have read, spurs are dead set on getting a PG. That does not mean that it will be CP3. Some can infer that recent activity suggests he is their target but the reality is that CP3 is a longshot. So who that PG turns out to be is to be determined.
Aldridge has a one year option and PG has a one year option. I'm fine with swapping those two.
Maybe I misunderstood your post. Payton is a PG.
My guess is they already know whether Chris Paul is the choice or not.
Is the cigar chomper a sarcasm indicator?
He felt the same last summer. Finally the cat is let out of the bag.
Spurs can finally move on, even if its a year late.. tbh. Get cap space and a top 20 pick and use the pick to draft John Collins, Jordan Bell or Bam Adebayo. Lets Go!
