Is Ainge really going to use his assets on a 1-year rental who won't put them over the Cavs? Should have taken Butler if that's the case IMO

INDY: let's just trade misfits and call it a night!
There's still hope.![]()
Ainge is probably demanding a pick instead of giving one![]()
I'm sure Indy is requesting a young player like Murray along with Aldridge. There's no incentive for Indiana to simply trade George for Aldridge 1 for 1 without a commitment from Aldridge.
Now that the draft is over, I get the feeling that LMA might be the best thing the Pacers can get for PG13, so it might be time to make it happen. if they want a Brynn Forbes or this year's #1 (not impressed by what I have seen of him) as a sweetner then so be it.
I want Paul George. He's my number 1 target right now (even over Chris Paul).
If the Spurs can somehow get him with a straight swap with Indiana, go for that, but otherwise, try a three way deal between Spurs, Cavs and Indiana. The framework of the trade would be - Green and Aldridge to Cleveland, Love to Indiana and Paul George to the Spurs. Cleveland would come out ahead in this, but if that is the case, Lebron would push for this trade to happen. He wants Green and if you throw in Aldridge as an extra, I think Lebron would push for it. Green and Aldridge also don't have long contracts so if Lebron bolts, they'll be off the books relatively quickly. Love would be a good piece for Indiana to add and try and built around/with.
I think this is true. I don't think the Spurs have any incentive to give up Murray, although the Pacers may be reading the recent news about LMA's disaffection as leading to Spurs desperation. But it looks like Boston may not be ready to move on anything and I don't know what else is out there for PG.
