Pop the bed on this one. Poopavich![]()
I wanted some nasty
Another one? Other than that one, you ain't dodged .
kawhis ankle
lamarsha
spurs
Lakers still not in the playoffs
Wow, an uppity negro by the Alamo.
Overseer Popovich will have to run as fast as he can now. Don't fret though,,,before long it will all be a BIG misunderstanding & Media will get it ALL straightened out for ya's.
Those shoes man lol
& that restaurant, they couldn't take him somewhere beside Hometown Buffet?
I'd still rather have Aldridge at his current 2015 max and a low-salary bench player instead of two overpaid role players. Cap space will get spent, and Aldridge was a borderline All-Star in 2015-2016 which is good enough imo.
Aldridge was the 27th-highest paid player this past season, behind such luminaries as Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Harrison Barnes, Chandler Parsons, Derrick Rose, and Nic Batum. Only one of those players is a FA so Aldridge will drop down the list once new contracts are signed.
It's easy for a Lakers fan to claim that any season that doesn't result in a championship is a failure; when was the last time the Lakers had an extended stretch of being early-round playoff fodder? But that is an uncommon view among sports fans. With the Warriors as dominant as they are, I can't see 61 wins and a WCF exit as a disappointment. The real disappointment was not being able to see what the Spurs were truly capable of against the Warriors.
the Spurs team/season was not a disappointment ...
Aldridge was. Not paying him big money this year and my guess is Spurs are the frontrunners for Blake and or maybe CP3
And dont tell me Spurs couldbt have won 50 plus games without Lamarsha ...becsuse we know he doesnt swing the needle that much ...
no sin in going all in especially in Tim's final year ...they just bet on the wrong horse to be franchise pillar. It happens even to the Spurs ...remember Jefferson? Spurs strength is in scouting and development ...when they go big $ FA it doesnt work as well ...
Sorry, 'eppe.
This one's on Aldridge. If you can't succeed in San Antonio where there's no limelight, constantly getting good looks on offense, etc you won't make it anywhere.
You knew going in he was sensitive & fragile. + he was no Duncan. You knew that and you applied the same oversight that you do comprehensively. You can't do that, especially with an outsider like he is. You needed to handle him with kid gloves. He was going to need his hand held at all times. And you have nobody to hold it. Even Leonard is not capable of holding anyone's hand. He's learning how to hold hands, but, he ain't there yet.
You ed up. You should have shut your mouths & remained still in the aftermath of that playoff loss. Instead you did what everyone does:::you showed your ass. It's not the length & breath of the Odom tragedy in California, but, it's a distant kin. Pop should swallow his vanity and initiate a sit, get it settled and go on. Perhaps by April Leonard will be capable of taking other's hands and proceeding.
It's a two way street. Aldridge chose to sign with the biggest asshole coach in sports. He knew what he was getting into.
I'm glad you pointed out the Leonard lack of leadership though. I've been saying it for awhile. I like his humbleness on the court but not the autism off of it. Social re s ruin company cultures in the corporate world and I imagine it's the same in the basketball world especially when you're looked to be a leader. Laying aside the amount of money that Leonard will never see in endorsement deals, he needs to figure out a way to have that alpha personality to pick his teammates up when they're struggling. That, I agree with.
LMA is more socially re ed than Kawhichael. Dude sat on the last seat of the bench his whole time in SA, was always in the background on team pictures, and was a terrible interview. Couple that with how sensitive he is and you have a basket case on your hands. I doubt any amount of vocal leadership from Kawhichael would've prevented this, tbh.
But, you knew all that. Your hierarchy has let this loss to State get the better of you. With age Pop's patience has been weathered. The better part of my nature hates to see this because (your way) is impressive. No one else has been able to live it, to emulate it. It's always driven me to distraction that you never air your dirty laundry. It's squalid & tawdry to see it now.
He can get on IH 35 North and keep on trucking until he hits OKC. They need him. He'd love nothing more than to avoid getting rebounds or points in OKC.
You expect to see "Stay 12" in SA? Ain't happening.
Vanity is a cruel master, D.
Pop must know better.
Pop looking like he just finished shooting Hunger Games.
