Lakers are in a top 2 big market in the NBA, if Lonzo delivers on the court and becomes the star people expect him to be, the Ball family is sitting on a pot of gold.
Tbh, he's right. LA and NY are the two top markets for basketball, if Lonzo actually delivers 1% of what Lavar claims he will then that baller brand will increase in value because LkrFan's whole family (at least 9,000,000 mexican nationals) will buy those 500 dollar shoes.

You can criticize him for not cashing out and being delusional enough to think his son can carry a brand. Nothing wrong with taking shots unless they cost you tens of millions of dollars (or whatever Nike(?) offered).
Lonzo seems to have been on board with the idea, so they both decided to take a shot in the dark and maybe come out on top. I don't think that BBB brand has much of a chance to be more successful than your average knockoff chinese shoe company, but they both seemed to have decided to give it a shot. I say it, the kid wants to gamble with his jumpstart with the #2 pick then I say good luck.

And yeah, you can't get mad at them. Nike might have made Jordan millions, but how much more would he have if Air Jordan took off with him being the sole possessor. He probably does end up losing in the end, but we will see.
You guys think that selling shoes is all about the players success. What about distribution channels? What about sourcing? What about meeting demands? What about general marketing? Unless Lavar got all of that stuff figured out or has a huge team of very smart people figuring it out for him he's gonna fall flat on his face.
