The Spurs would get the Disappeared Player Exception. Unless they think he's in rehab - then they could use the Lamar Odom Exception.

Unfortunately it doesn't matter if we keep or trade Aldridge unless you think the 2nd or 3rd round is the championship for the Spurs.
He'd come off the cap next year no matter what, but time not sure if he'd get his option in absentia.
