Chucking, no defending gimmicks don't deserve MVP.
Outside of that triple double facade, he would just be notable. The facade came about by design, basically the team chased the stat instead of getting better. NBA awards them the league MVP award for that .
Not surprising you'd think he deserves it though.

Moses made the finals that year. Sure they voted before the playoffs but Moses justified it. Westbrook was stay chasing all year at the expense of the team, something Moses never did. I never said Westbrook didn't deserve it because his team didn't win more games, it's because he stat padded.
The award was on and off. I thought it hit rock bottom with Nash's back to back but I was wrong. It just sunk lower.
This is the worst awards show I have ever seen.
This was pretty awful. But it was their first attempt at it, and 95% of what made it unwatchable was because of Drake. He needs to stick to his music. He was corny and totally not funny.
