This is like the Duncan deal - he's not playing years 3 and 4 of that contract, so look at it as 2 / 15M. This also is non-Bird so they still have the MLE and BAE left.

I am disappointed if standing pat is what they do bt they still had to pay JSimms and Patty. Maybe the are looking at options bc those two guys are coming at them wth some scandalous demands bc they want to get paid. That's what all this looking at roleplayers has to be about.

for anything more ambitious they probably had to do that LMA/Danny trade.maybe when tha didnt happen they already moved to plans B,C and D.

In regards to landing a big free agent, spurs are going to continue to be a bridesmaid this summer. The last big free agent who walked down the aisle with r.c. wound up being rupaul (lma).

Coming across like the fat bridesmaid who they make stand off to the side hidden by a flower arrangement.
