...to free up money for Korver
...to free up money for Korver
Today's NBA- where JJ Re is a 20 mil a year player
Re allows Simmons to be the playmaker/passer he's supposed to be.
Could Houston get Iggy AND Shumpert, or is the writing on the wall for Iggy back to GS?
Has little to do with his name. He's been a piece of their best lineup for years.
Yup, like a S&T of Korver and Osman for Danny Green.
... he has an injury history and he's like 35 ...
So was Harrison Barnes
Iggy was horrible in the playoffs and it didn't affect them..they could replace him with any competent perimeter defender and will still have potent results with their no-C lineup..
Rudy Gay would make them worse, though. .
Spurs waiting for the dust to settle... then see what's left and get the bargains. I hope...
Barnes was replaced by Durant.
I'm not saying they can't replace him. I'm say his impact isn't being judged by his name but the fact that he's been included in the "death lineup" hype for years.
Warriors to meet with Andre Iguodala, prepared to offer him a three-year deal, per source wp.me/p7ShJJ-jwtL pic.twitter.com/bs8kWZI3oX
Yep Warriors rockets WCF next season. CP0 can finally get there and unlike Lasoftus, won't his way off the team shortly after.
Philly is actually being smart about things.
They know the market is much smaller than last summer, much less money to go around. They're not dumb like some teams that make bad deals at 12:01
So they squeezed Re until he folded like a chair and lunged to sign that ONE YEAR deal before it was snatched away. He's not dumb, he could read the signs.
He probably was asking for 3/75, 4/100, they told him to eat it and take the one year or screw off.
They win.
I'm betting they play the long game, work possible trades into the season. Like a few years back when everyone expected them to waive RJ and they worked a mid-season trade.
They won in the sense that they didn't cave, but I don't see what this deal does for them other than getting them above the salary floor. Why pick now to try and start actually winning?
So Hou won't hav money for Iggy... he'll take the 13-15 mill a yr frm gsw

So now it's Gay or Korver? Meh, bring the crew back. Maybe Phoenix gets desperate after they miss on every 4 lol Denver too
They win because they didn't lock in years on a player that's declining.
They can pay him what he's worth next summer, when the money going around might be even less and the demand for a 34 year old even worse. But if he gets hurt or declines too much, they can just dump him.
Damn, would have been loving this off-season if they hadn't signed Mills to 4 years, tbh..standing pat would have been nice, wait until all the dead weight comes off the books, enjoy watching Kawhi win MVP, Manu's farewell tour and not having to watch Parker until 2018..
The Mills signing killed my excitement, though..
Should've just developed the young talent instead of throwing around loyalty contracts.Maybe we would've been seeded low enough to get a decent pick for once....Ah, it. RC would just draft some Radoslav ovic from Kosovo and stashed him for 5 years anyway...

And where's the offers for Dedmon? Who needs a center? If GS signs Iggy can they still sign DD. If Dedmon is affordable I'd resign him and keep him as trade bait if he gets in the doghouse again.
They couldn't even wait it out a few days and give us time to dream either.
They just HAD to lock up Noa---, er, Mozg---, I mean Mills, right at 12:01.
Bring back Jacque Vaughn, Fabricio Oberto, and Michael Finley! Bring back the culture! GO SPURS GO!
Ya, I guess that Zach Lowe report from a few months ago was correct..he said they already had a deal planned with Mills IIRC..
