Yeah, the Spurs aren't getting any FA's. San Antonio is just not a hot destination for FAs. We'll basically see the same team as last year, with a few nobodies being signed.

Simmons didn't dominate the ball until the playoffs. More usage = breakout for him basically. He's not great off the ball, but when given the chance as a playmaker he succeeded in biggest way. During the season he didn't really play make cause he was low on the pecking order. But I'm sorry Simmons is more valuable in my book. Ingles can't be a sixth man like Simmons can potentially. Still i need to see more with Simmons but he's ready for more responsibility.

He wasn't efficiently scoring with what he did in all honesty... He just wasn't and for all his playmaking... he really didn't have as many assists as others in the team. I wouldn't pay him that much... and frankly if you did that, then you needed to let Mills go. Either Mills is your 6th man and you pay him like it or JSimms is. Mills just got paid so the Spurs kind of already made their choice. That is how I see it.

Edit: and maybe they made the wrong choice which is at least in part why so many are whining about the Mills contract. Argument can be made that you can find guys undrafted that are 6' tall and can hit a few 3 pt shots (poorly in the playoffs) while leaving others to defend and playmake.

A couple interesting things out there (that I'm sure we won't take advantage of) market for hill may be drying up and his price could become reasonable...also, Detroit is now hard capped and can only match an offer sheet for KCP for around 19M unless they clear salary. Lastly, very little coming from the Galinari camp, they may have a deal to return to Denver if milsaps signs and then again they may not...it bears watching..

Now i think they look at Gay if the rumors were true, but other than that who else? Korver, Tucker? Rather bring team back than that. Korver might be nice if we can keep Green too. Have options and I'd only take Korver on a 1 or 2 year deal.

So? We would rather use most of our cap space on Patty as a 4th PG on the roster. I would really like to have KCP (though $19-20MM seems prohibitive), or especially Millsap.
