They did the same with Bonner, Vaughn, Oberto after 07'. That was smart too.
Yea, but do you think the Spurs were going to get Patty for any less? It was the right move once they decided to keep him.

That corporate knowledge and locker room stuff is really important. Paying Patty was important - and it wasn't for much, really. This team can't usually pull in top talent and never gets high draft picks, so it has to get the stones they pick out of the pile to buy in and craft themselves into jewels. Do you think Danny Green would have made it out of the dustbin without a great team environment? You think Dejounte would be sticking around much of the summer to work out without that environment?
Gear up for next off season and develop the current young talent. Plus waiting to see how LaMarcus plays and what he does at end of season. You can't expect much interest after this previous playoff performance.
Send him to the Pistons.
He'd be a good get at the right price - better 3-ball than JSimms. I still want JSimms though, unless some team offers him a silly contract.
Hopefully when teams get done getting their guys they leave us some good players to choose from.
At this point, I'd take back Ayres. That's how desperate I am for this team to do something that shows they tried this offseason instead of letting LMA sabotage the team.
Maybe we can get Vince Carter
Green would be great, and probably not too expensive
We should be BIG PLAYERS in the free agent market after the 7th, when players can sign contracts. That's when PATFO goes to work. Circling the bargin bin. Finding past thier prime ring chasers. Players who are over themselves. Like I said, let's just wait for the really good players to sign with their respective teams. And since we're the well respected first class Spurs, we'll have 1st dibs at the leftovers. You'd be surprised what's floating around the"bargin bin".
DAMN, DON'T NOBODY WANT LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE ?
Too young for this team.
I wonder if he's over himself...
Spurs weren't going to get a better guard at the price, imo.
tru not going to pay 20+ for george hill
Korver is staying in Cleveland.
Korver signed for 3/22M in CLE.
Ibaka signed for 3/64M in TOR.
Dedmon still out there.
McClemore, Gay on a one year deal, and an athletic big, preferably Dedmon.
Korver signed for 6,3 millions per year![]()
We desperately need athletic players at almost any position.
