Millsap on 3/90 is good
No crippling fourth year, fourth years are for suckers like the Spurs.
I'd take that over fat emo Aldridge
he has been playing well.
I don't know. I read some articles about his situation in Denver and his injury history, he might have wanted more years guaranteed instead of a substantial raise.. but memory fails me and it was a middle of the season article. I am really not sure.

The real reason is he doesn't want to see the cavs get beat by the Jazz or T'Wolves this coming year. Just doesnt want to expose the inequity of the teams. Having the lower tier western playoff teams knock off the best of the east would hurt the product i reckon.
It would completely expose the eastern conference for what it has been for over a decade across the board.
Livingston's contract is the only one that I have liked so far.
Eastern conference is short for At East they still have Cleveland.
Nah, I don't think Millsap is a max player. If we were to somehow trade places with him and Aldridge, I still wouldn't want Millsap at 30 million for 3 years. I might do it for two, but no more than 2 at that price. That's too much for him. I'd rather have Aldridge's money off the books and go after someone else.
I'd rather have Bertrans at his price over Danilo Galinari
I agree with you there. $8 million a year for him was a sweet deal for GS. I worry about how his game would look on teams with less shooting like the Clippers.
Extreme hypothetical but if PATFO landed Danilo for the Mid Level by waiting would any of you be "happy"?
Aldridge off the books ... But Mills and Pau back on, so will there be room for someone else, and who?
I mean next off-season. I'd rather have Aldridge off the books and start with max space, or close to two max space slots next off-season. Maybe try and sign Pau for only one season this off-season.
I agree with you in the entire evaluation and specially in liking the young guys. I wish Pop would play them and screw the veterans taking about 80% of the playing time. It should be clear they are not luring a FA after the Lamarcus brouhaha and they have youth and potential and need those guys to grow up. They can really only take leaps if they are challenged and tested... and garbage time is such a poor challenge.
Agree with your opinion on LMA too.
Not really. Not a huge fan of his.
lol, we don't want anyone here. I think a lot of us here like the idea of a max free agent, but we don't want most of them. There were people that didn't want to pay Kawhi max money, so I guess that sums up Spurstalk in a nuts .

I've been an advocate of this for years.
Also, great point that SPURt made about Aldridge being a center in today's NBA. He needs to lose weight, get in super shape and embrace it.
Sign Andrew Bogut to bang against teams that have the more traditional, bigger centers. I don't want Splitter, I don't trust him to not be injured, and that is saying a lot considering I feel more comfortable with Bogut being healthier throughout the season and playoffs.

Sources: Clippers presentation made a strong impression on free agent Danilo Gallinari in Los Angeles today. They've long coveted him.
I'm not Either... but he may be Clipper bound. They have cap?
Does anyone know if Clippers have cap space or would it be the Mid Level
That's what I'm talking about.
Pau likely didn't opt out for a one year deal.
Mills is bricking for four years.
Everyone thought next summer would be full of money without Aldridge, Parker, Pau and Green
Well Mills and Pau will only be a few million less than Parker and Pau.
, Parker wants three more years and it looks like the Spurs might not have the will power to deny him what he wants.
We'll need to do a sign-and-trade to dump some combination of Jamal, Austin and/or Wesley Johnson to be able to afford him.
People love to hate Pop here but I think this season is going to be one where he does something innovative to support Kawhi. I don't care what it is as long as he isn't force feeding LMA to start every game to feed his ego. The Spurs were smart to wait on trading LMA. Millsap isn't $10 million a year better and I'm sick of his game.
I would.
Agreed, I was thinking Bogut would be a nice backup too.
