Maybe the front office is holding Milutinov out of action until they have made their decision to bring him over. I hope that the guys at least get to practice with the summer league team like Bertans and LJC have done in the past even if they don't play in any games.
Spurs don't have enough centers, so I wouldn't be surprised.

I thought this might mean they'd play in Vegas
I do not follow Euroleague at all. Which of these guys is most NBA-ready?

If Milutinov is not playing by choice of the Serbian federation that's not an encouraging sign considering Jokic elected not to play for Serbia opening a spot.

They still have bigs. Milutinov may well think being a third-stringer in a non-compe ive international year makes less sense than trying to make the jump to the NBA. Bringing him over should be the top priority for the Spurs right now.

Imo Milutinov is on the cusp. One more year abroad to establish himself would be best I think but we need bigs and if he does establish himself and comes next year, he is not bound by the first round contract and could be a lot more expensive. I think ultimately he comes next year to lock him up on the cheap for at least four years. As for Hanga, he's ready now. With his skill set there's not much more he can accomplish in Europe.

Does Milutinov have any "lift"? Well... Tiago couldn't jump either, so maybe it works out.

While he is not elite athletically by any means he is definitely more athletic than Splitter. He catches lobs etc. He has potential as a role playing starting 5 or an energy big off the bench. But he has a similar skill set to Dedmon as a finishing big. He's a pretty solid passer like Tiago on the roll. Don't know much about his hands. But he's a solid young prospect. Blue collar guy like Splitter.

What's encouraging is that he has improved a lot this year, he was a bench player at the begining of the season with Olympiakos and he finished as a starter with some good games.

Thanks for the Intel on Milutinov. Do we we have rights to Dangubic and Bjelica?

Dangubic, yes. Bjelica is an NBA player under contract with MIN, so no.

Thanks. That's what I thought I remembered about Dangubic, but Bjelica is a name that I only kinda, sorta remember.

Oh, right, that's the shtick around here. He stuck in my mind because people here talk about him being the Spurs' worst draft pick ever. He was one of the worst first round picks, for sure - but not the worst. Remember Oliver Robinson? You wouldn't. And he was drafted just a couple of years before Alfredrick Hughes. Willie Peck?

Back then, a lot of good players weren't drafted until the second and third rounds. Maybe not stars, but guys who played a lot of minutes for a lot of years. The year the Spurs picked Hughes, Mario Elie was the 160th pick, in the 7th Round. And there were plenty of busts in the first couple of rounds.
Hughes has a -.5 Win Shares.

Robinson actually was at .1 Win Shares.

    Peck had .3 Win Shares.

    All awful picks.

I stand behind my post though.
