LMA refuses to play Center.
Just butting in here, but I think Parker/Mills may be the end of guys the Spurs get that just play PG. I think they are want Murray to play "guard" rather than a one or a two. They want guys with multiple skills that can play 2+ positions. If Murray bulked up enough, he could play 1,2and 3.
LMA refuses to play Center.
I don't know. I think this is a team that will be guard by committee. Simmons, even if retained, is no guarantee he's as good as he showed in the playoffs.
Manu may be gone. TP may not truly recover. That is a lot of holes to fill in an already weak guard rotation and puts a ton of pressure on Murray to leap. In that light, I understand the pick. I also understand it, regardless of position, if SA truly had him as BPA. You always take BPA.
Plus this opens the door for some trades to tweak if moving Danny is the plan or Simmons is gone (and/or Manu retires).
Ha ha ha!
I once managed a call center, years ago, and one of my guys was some dude who looked exactly like Patrick Swayze and he knew it.
That guy got so much grief that he started telling peeps- yes, he was his stunt-man.
Dude never did anything higher paying than being my asst. call center mgr, making 36G/yr for himself.
I do think he got a lot more puss than he deserved though, saying he was a Swayze...
Damn... Good call, on his part.
I think what I've finally learned after all my years of watching nba/spurs and learning the CBA is that I need to approach the off season differently.
Instead of just saying what I want to happen, I need to view it in the spectrum of the possible outcomes. That is the best way to view it and you can always say what you prefer anyways.
You just came to that now?
I hardly believe you've been that naive until just this very moment.
Is that what you just said?
Ya - I just arrived at that. I mean, I knew that, but I always let excitement get the best of me and let what "I want" cloud what actually might happen.
Agree. Also means, you can basically have a 3 & D PG if you like, who's not actually got the ball in his hands.
You obviously don't work with massive theoretical reality and mathematics involving... anything beyond your scope?
You do... I refuse to believe you don't. You're too smart.
Bias always worms it's way in, doesn't it?
You've been the best of them, and although I see you deviating from the positivity and trust from Pop- You'll be back when this team is, once again, in 2nd place and competing hard, in the playoffs at the end of the year.
Vee shall Zee.
I laugh at things I don't know how to counter also.
It's natural.
Two seasons in a row RC blows his load, last season overpayment for Pau...
this season way too many years and a contract that honestly seems too high for Mills + they couldn't wait just a minute meaning he was their priority in FA all along.![]()
Even the Warriors didn't stand pat and continue to add depth.
Spurs just get older.
Who did they add? They brought back an old Iggy and Livingston and an old David West. You referring to Jordan Bell? I love that move but I would not say that is not standing pat (but they don't have to add anything - as is they are better than all).
I agree with your sentiment of them always looking to improve but i don't think they really added to their team so far.
"He" meaning Mills?
It's only classy if our guys do it brah. Spurs=class.
Yes, the Bulls used Jordan, Pippen, and Harper to bully guards on offense and defense. They all played the passing lanes well and were terrific full court players that you could move around as all three could guard 1, 2, or the 3. I think that is one way to combat GSW. Make Curry guard a 2. Big guards now days post up better than bigs.
They will lose McGee and probably zaza. Iggy is old though but Durant just went for less than lowry.
This is harsh to me. SA with Pau, had the 2nd best record and as we've seen Pau declined his option so it was truly a one-year deal so far.
Mills deal is still under value - whether or not it's necessary remains to be seen, but it's a double edged sword. If you know you don't want CP/Lowry etc.. letting Mills go get offers can be dangerous. They locked him up on a very good deal even though waiting might have led to Hill (he will still make more than Mills this year though)
They're not done yet. They'll sign a player or two before the off-season is over. Meanwhile, the Spurs haven't even been linked to anyone.
I'll be shocked if Gasol isn't the starting center next year with Manu STILL our sixth man. I don't expect anything different.
Yes, you should kill yourself.
Rudy Gay, CP, Hill, etc.. Spurs have been linked to plenty. Just saying neither the Spurs or GS has actually added to their teams just yet (not surprising the two best teams are patient and less pressured to make moves for the sake of it when they are both great).
I will bet you that SA adds a player or two that are new as well.
Sup, Mr.Fat Body.
