Well at least the Spurs didn't trade for Rubio or extend Parker. Gotta look for some silver lining to this summer.
He heard that lots of gays live there.

Wow I didn't know it had become that trendy.i guess that explains why that pornstar from Teen Mom started living there. I always thought that was random af.
Spurs get lucky with both injuries and get great post-seasons out of Parker and Gay along with Green and LMA having contract years and Kawhi continuing his march to the MVP, and you could see something amazing happen. But that's like a one-percent chance of happening.
All I ask is get back to the Western F*in Finals... Let the chips lay where they may w/ healthy spurs roster is all you can ask for & you have a shot.
Now to the next signing, lots of free agents sill out there
We were for sure getting backdoor swept even if Kawhichael didn't go down though. You didnt hear?
Well he is 26 y/o in Spurs years
Simmons is the only one I want to resign. Other than that, lets not tie up any money on anything more than one year deals.
Pretty good chance that really would have happened but I think you are being sarcastic.
Yes they were. Kobe and billups were on their way out in a year or 2. Brand was fine, went to philly was worse than injury. Laettner was never any good. Jennings just keeps getting bounced around crap teams. Wilkins had no issues. Many of these injuries are overhyped. Gay will be fine
The Spurs need to get back to moving the ball, and move away from iso ball. This means LMA still needs to be moved.
Mods, we're still going to need a church thread. Can't kill them all.
Gay could have stayed with Kings and made 5.5 million more, but came to SA to play with a contender.
There hasn't been a Spurs beat writer worth a damn since Ludden left.
I guess not.![]()
outta here with that . Based on what two quarters when a Durbeta-less GS came back from a 20 point deficit? The Spurs not only went toe to toe but looked better at every other point during their match-ups.
Not saying SA wins for sure because of that but there is literally no reasoning behind thinking there was a good chance of of a backdoor sweep happening.
They were that much better is the simple answer. We jumped to a big lead against them in our last meeting of the regular season and ended up getting our doors blown off.
I think we maybe get one more in that series but it's one more or we get the backdoor sweep. There are not really any other reasonable scenarios.
Contender for what? For 2nd place in the west?
Based on what?
Honestly a lot of these sound like "we ing suck and I don't feel like playing tonight" injuries.
Since it's effectively a one year deal, it's hard to complain. I certainly have my doubts about how much he'll be able to contribute. But Pop will protect his minutes and gp...I think there's a good chance that factored into Rudys decision. Also, he won't be the focal point of a defense for the 1st time in his career. It's absolutely worth the gamble on a short, relatively inexpensive contract.
Based on them being, probably. the best team in NBA history?
