OP is the same dude telling me Aldridge is the best second option the Spurs have had in a long time when the Spurs second options between 1997-98 and 2014-15 have been David Robinson, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili, and Tim Duncan.
Manu, Green, Kawhi, Gay, Bertans.

ur an idiotKyle MOLASSES Anderson guard k.d... Worst player in a spurs uniform imo get off his nuts they need to drop that kid
Murray and Simmons can't shoot from outside. :-(
Perhaps White Green Kawhi Bertans Gay maybe be more formidable.
Simmons / Danny / Kawhi / Gay / LMA
Parker, Simmons, Leonard, Gay, Aldridge
Kyle Anderson will never appear in anything that would be referred to as a "death lineup."
Anderson is too small to play the 5. He'd need to bulk up quite a bit and hope not to lose any more of that precious speed.
My Friend, I meant since we won it all in 2014, cheers
Like you pointed out, since we had Lamarcus pretty much,
What I am saying is that we used to have two of our big three 2/3 at their primes since ever, and now it's been one (Kawhi) out of three, or 1/3. If you count Kawhi, LMA, and Tony as your big-3 of this era.
Listen, Lamarcus game does not translate very well in today's NBA. It has been stated elsewhere that post-ups are not the most efficient way to score. Do you think a 2014-post Timmy would have won us a game vs the Warriors? Hhmmm I am not sure to be honest.

In 2014, TD's post up game against the Thunder and the Heat helped the Spurs win a ring. If they put guards on a big it would be stupid to not post up. The reason small ball works is you put more of your skilled players on the floor at the same time but the difficulty has always been defense/rebounding.
At the end of the day you have to play to your stengths and the Warriors have the best small ball lineup in basketball. You're not going to beat them that way because you don't have a better small ball lineup. You might have 1 or 2 players that are better small ball players but that's probably not enough. If you have skilled bigs that can post you have to use that as an advantage.
I hope y'all are ready to see Parker/Green/Kawhi/GayLMA/Pau starting Game 1/Round 1 of the playoffs
Separate Gay and LMA and kick Pau out, and that's the highest-ceiling lineup for the Spurs.
Exactly. If Parker is actually decently healthy (which I think is no chance) and can play at even the level he did last year in the playoffs?
Yes..TP/Green/Kawhi/Gay/LMA
I could say the same for Simmons.
Parker Manu Anderson Gasol Anthony (joel) is he lineup of death
You may be right. He played well in the playoffs but people seem to forget he was just "ok" for most of the year. A little too wild and reckless with the ball and hasn't developed his outside shot either.
I mean can you imagine this?
Spurs have 5 PGs in the team or combo guards, or whatever we want to call it. 2 drafted most recently in B2B seasons, plus their most significant signing so far in terms of pricing is Patty... all of this bc they wanted to play Kawhi as PG all along.
Jabari is really... I don't have words to describe him...
I have an idea......counter the warriors death line up........
With the beyond death line up, along these ideal lines......
Olajuwon, or Duncan, or Robinson, or Shaq or Wilt at center
Plus four all galaxy pressure defenders,
Jordan, Pippen, Kobe and Kawhi!!!!
Something like tha5, thats the formula.
Worriers would be likely to even snatch one game, tbh
Leonard - Green -Simmons - Gay - Bertans -
